Default Why no love for players in the 70's

Often times on this board I hear names like KG and Tmac being talked about like they are in the HOf now. both of these players KG only once but it was Sam Cassel and Spree that lead that team have gotten past the first round. A person must have love for the game to be on this board but use that love and learn aboout some of the players that would have been just as good or better than KG Tmac.

Elvin Hayes
Rick Barry
Bob Mcadoo
Spencer Haywood
John Havecik
Connie Hawkins
I'd take each one of these guys in there prime over Tmac and KG all day everyday

Most posters here weren't born/watching basketball in the 70s?

i can't say anything about those guys and i'm in my 30's. i'd say most of the posters here are way younger than that. i didn't watch the nba until way later.

There are very few people that could talk about those players without using wikipedia or basketballreference.

However, there are some. I think kblaze made a vid on the hawk not so long ago. And not to be a spelling nazi, but Havlicek.
