Default What do u use for fantasy football draft prep? magazines, websites, anything?

i used to subscribe to some of the pay sites(the huddle, guru) but i realized they're pretty overrated, and they do cost quite a bit. only thing they provided that was difficult to find elsewhere was throw targets each week for each receiver. i know i stumbled across a free site that had it but i can't remember which one it was(maybe yahoo?). Otherwise i use rotoworld, cbssportsline mostly in terms of sites, but anyone use anything better or as good?

as for magazines i always got Fantasy Football Index. the big reason was it was the only magazine i found that had previous year game to game breakdowns of the starters for the important stats. In my league certain benchmarks like 300 passing yds rewards bonuses so total end of year stats really doesn't say much. it also had a decent cheat sheet and i'm pretty surre this magazine were the first to do the cheat sheet formats. but just overall its IMO a much better way of looking at player performance than just overall previous year stats especially when u can see who they were playing against to get those numbers. biggest issue i'm having right now is i can't find that magazine anywhere locally so i might have to order it online.

anyone use anything else, or have any other strategies they think helps a lot with draft prep?

I do mock drafts just to kinda get my feet wet.

And I have a plan going in. You can't free ball it, you have to know what type of team you're looking to put together, and I even have a plan as to when I'll get certain positions (which can change if the talent on the board is too much to pass up).

I just try to keep up to date on injuries and player conditions during camp and formulate a rough plan before a draft. I don't think those magazines help very much if you aren't good at judging players yourself. The biggest help experts give are on sleepers in late rounds.

USA Today Fantasy Football Newspaper is pretty good... that's what I roll with.

Hey Dooms, you need to make a vote in the money league thread on how much $ total points makes.

And here's a free site for targets. http://subscribers.footballguys.com/...lex &team=all

Nostradamus technique is underrated.

Write the names of players on index cards, chuck them in the air, the order you pick them up if your draft. GO

Whatever -playmaker- voted on.

personally, I don't care about total points... I care about 1st place.

I will be in first place this year, and that's all that matters.
