That further solidifies my case.. As I said earlier... Hinrich does shoot the 3 better.. but that doesn't necessarily make him a better overall shooter than Ford... who shoots as good a percentage as Hinrich from the field.
Say.. if Ford took 20 shots a game.. 19 of them would be within the 3-point line.. and he'd bank in 44% of them... total of 17 points.
And if Hinrich took 20 shots in some game.. 13 of them would be from the within 3-point line at 45%.. and 7 of them from the beyond the arc. whihc would mean 18.5 points.
So yeah.. as you see it's not exactly a clear shooting advantage. It would .. if TJ did shoot a whole lot of 3's.. or just about as many as Hinrich did.
Dwayne Wade shoots only 25% from the 3-point line.. but so what? It's not a factor..s ince he doesn't really take al those 3-pointers. I'm sure Walker, Payton, Williams, are all better 3-point shooters in teh team.. but that doesn't make anyone of them as being better than Wade as far as overall shooting abilities go.
P.S. some homer's gonna come along and blast me for "apparantly comparing" Wade to Ford or Hinrich.. or something like that. Please read back the whoel post.. and understand teh whoel Wade part in the full context of the whole post.
