Players can KILL each other on the court and then go out to dinner or to the club with each other later that night. At worst they are professional rivals who respect each other off he court. Even old school players who were rivals had off the court friendships and didn't want to see the other get hurt. Study the relationships between Magic and Isaiah, MJ and Barkley, Wilt and Russell.

Fans walk around thinking players are supposed to hate each other because they play for different teams. Fans take this crap far, FAR more seriously than the players do. Most players, in fact are pretty civil with one another. It's just a job.

You're right, Shaq took a swing at Charles Barkley in a game in the 90s. They went out for dinner that same night. It's just a game. Off the court (most) players live their lives. They have much more in common with each other than they do with any one of us. Why wouldn't they be friendly?

Dear Allah I hate KG.

It's too bad he didn't blow out his achilles. That would have been great.

They're all co-workers.

KG, Kobe, Duncan, Nash, Kidd, and Nowitzki are the last of the dominant players from their era . The last great players of their generation.

Of course they all have a mutual respect for each other.

Man, Kobe going down the other day has got me feeling old.. Seemed like not too long ago he was getting drafted and taking Brandy to the prom lol..

That 95-99 period produced some truly great talent.

Totally. Specially at Power Foward. Crazy how from 93 to 99 you have Chris Webber, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitkz. Arguably the best PF of all time, and Kevin Garnett and Dirk are probably in top 5.

On a low level; Rasheed Wallace, Jermaine Oneal, Jamison, Elton Brand.

Anyway, much respect to KG. But really, he's a professional athlete, not some dumbass who wastes his life hating on someone for no reason.
