Default When playing streetball, about wrap arounds...

im breaking my no posting in the off the court for just one time to get an answer:

if someone is trying to back you down in the post, and you wrap your arms around him and have your hands on the ball, is that allowed?

i mean, I figure if the guy doesn't like it, he'll flail his arms or bump me to get me to stop, rather than cry about it and be a soft like molasses.

if you didn't really wanna post on the off topic board, there is a streetball board ya know.

anyways, are u talking about hacking his body while trying to reach in for the ball? that is mad annoying..
however if your arms are just beside his body, trying to steal the ball away, i dont see anything wrong with that. as long as you aren't restricting where he can move by wrapping him up totally. and make sure you aren't reaching in either.

any good baller can leave you in the dust if you stick too close like that.
or an elbow would solve the problem too :)

Wrap your arms around the opposing player: foul.

Getting round and successfully stealing the ball: TO for that guy and steal for you.

That's how I view it anyway.

i mean i was doing what I see Rodman do, Bowen do, Artest do, etc...

one forearm on the back and the other one jabs forward to try to poke the ball away. since i have long arms, it's almost like wrapping him up.

and streetball forum is dead...

Is there a specific incident that has caused you to stop posting on this forum?
