Being home schooled seems unbelievably depressing.

My cousin homeschools(ed) her 6 kids to 8th grade. Pretty sure it does have some sad moments for the kids but it looks like it will pay big dividends in the end. They hit their private high school running and are at the top of their class among some extremely intelligent, wealthy classmates in the Aspen area. They are wicked smart and polite but inquisitive to the point it almost makes me uncomfortable to be around them . I'm used to children who just feign mild interest to the adults around them while chomping at the bit to get back to their siblings or friends so they can continue being a kid
