A few observations regarding the interview:
1. There didn't appear to be any kind of certainty about Chris Bosh as it looked on the retraction articles in the Toronto Star, the Sun, etc.. He basically said, as of now I don't know what CB4 is gonna do but I believe that when the time comes he'll let us know.

2. He said the same stuff he's been saying all year that he likes the guys, they are high character, etc.. but that injuries + them not giving the effort for 48 minutes is why the are where they are.. and while I agree that those things are certainly a factor, there are more variables that you have to look at than high character and intensity. We played with high energy for the first probably almost 1/3 of the season and kept losing the same way night in and night out. The way I see it, a 20 point loss and a 4 point loss are no different, a loss is a loss. His pride doesn't allow him to admit that the roster is flawed, although I guess you could call the JO trade attempts an implied admission.

3. I think theres a fine line between not making a deal because of pressure and not making a deal to prove that you don't get pressured. To me, it doesn't seem like hes not making a deal because he doesn't want to get bullied. It's more like, he tries to hold out for some spectacular deal when we don't really have the assets to do that.

I pretty much agree entirely. You also have to ask yourself at which point guys not giving 100% for 48 minutes indicates that they aren't such "character" guys after all...

Exactly. We've got a group of nice guys, sure. But when you step on the basketball court, being a nice guy isn't really an asset. We've been hearing during the entire BC reign how everything is rosy in the locker-room, how nobody gets down on one another, and how it's all good whether they're winning or losing. But, why didn't we pick up some guys to pick up the intensity, rough up the opponents sometimes, you always need that mix.. Being nice doesn't win you basketball games.

In regards to the nice guy comments I'm just glad that our players don't have 5 year old sons at the age of 22 ala LeBron, Wade, and soon to be Howard etc.

It's disgraceful. Are these idiots too poor to buy condoms?

I'd take the whole James and Wade families over our starting 5.

Colangelo is probably right, this might be one of our strongest teams, certainly on paper. What i don't think he counted on was every other team in the East getting even stronger. Comparing the teams in the East now to those two years ago, woah! There has been some kinda major resurrection. We improved slightly, everyone else has improved in leaps and bounds!

All the teams that got better have a quality big man and a wing player that can score...we just got the big men. nuf said.

The history of this league is Center & shooting guard dominated now there aren't many great centers in the league anymore but almost all the teams with shooting guards averageing around 20ppg are winning teams or in the playoffs....(the east included)

Mediocre teams/borderline playoff teams in the east with SG that averages above 20ppg include;

Nets - Carter
Bulls - Gordon
Bucks - Redd (Pre-Injury)
Wizards - Butler
Pacers - Granger?

It's kind of half and half. I don't really feel like going through the good teams in the east with a SG averaging 20ppg. But I'm sure it's around 4-5.
