I know. That is the problem that it's not just a book to people when there is no evidence at all that it is anything more than just a book.

And it is a very slippery slope about giving people the right to believe anything they want in the name of faith. I'd assume you are against Muslims believing in Martyrdom and Jihad...but according to that book that think of as more than a book...its a perfectly reasonable conclusion to draw that you are doing the work of their God by committing acts of hate and violence.

Here is the simple thing and best way to go about faith.

Don't pretend to know things that no human being can possibly know.

Free speech doesn't somehow protect your speech from criticism. If you say something idiotic, you'll get called out for it. That's part of (well) free speech.
