Default Virgin Atlantic Airlines

I flew Virgin for the first time last night. It's a pretty progressive airline for those who've never flown it or aren't familiar with it. The first thing you notice is the lighting onboard. They use 'mood colors' that make you feel like you're in some dimly lit nightclub. Each seat has it's own monitor and hand held remote/controller. You can watch movies/satelite tv, order food/drinks, you can even turn the remote over and use it as a controller to play video games. There is wifi on board as well. The seats are larger than your average airline too.

Pretty cool airline and they have some decent deals. I'd fly it more often but JFK is one of the only places it flys to on the east coast and that airport is a nightmare.

Your own personal monitor with a handheld remote that you can watch movies and tv on? Whoah that's revolutionary!

One day, if you get the chance, you should try flying long haul business/first class. It's an amazing first experience, the service is like 10000x economy. I'm guessing you've just flown budget or regional airlines? Not to be rude....but the things you listed are fairly standard on some airlines.

I flew from washington to london first class a few years ago. The red carpet club at washington terminal was sweet.

I've never flown it but the mood colors seem pretty cool. Vapid is still a douche I see (even if most of the things marlo said aren't really new at all).

The wifi board sounds awesome.

I had a few friends that flew down (I drove) to our senior week in Mrytle Beach on Virgin Atlantic and they said it was pretty sweet. They said there was instant messaging and stuff they were able to mess around with on the flight and communicate if they weren't working together. They said a lot about how the technology on board was a lot more interactive and user friendly than most airlines.
