Default outdoor courts

are they 10 feet? or are they usually a shorter?

theyre around 10 foot, but it doesnt really matter. obviously weather and other things can make them shorter but unless it doesnt look 10 foot, then it isnt

It's always seemed that a lot of courts begin at 10ft. then through any sort of natural cause, begin to lose an inch or two at some point.

I know my court is not 10 feet even. However, I just tell myself it's harder to bounce off of outdoor concrete than indoor hardwood so the inch or two evens itself out.

I don't play on outdoor courts because of my knees(they get sore on harder surfaces) but usually the surface makes up for the loss of height. I don't think I've played on an outdoor court where the hoop was purposedly set at below 10 feet, though.
