It's like saying the Pats defense is the best of all time because of what they did in the Superbowl and what has carried over into this season.

You need a resume and Dak doesn't have it to be a top 5 QB. Wentz has a pretty much full season where he was the consensus MVP until he hurt himself.
Dak has more of a resume than Wentz...more wins, a playoff win. Better numbers.

More HEALTH

Dak has much more of a resume than Watson, who you have top 5

Why lie about the stats? It's so easy to look up.

Dak hasn't thrown more than 23 TDs in a season
He hasn't eclipsed 100 QB rating in two of the last seasons. Never eclipsed 4000 yards.

Wentz was THE UNANIMOUS MVP until he got hurt in 2017. Last year his per game prorated numbers were like 4500 yard and 30 TDs and the last two seasons he has over a 100 QB rating.

Dak has played great so far this season. Like I said before, let's keep in mind he has literally played the three worst defenses in the league so far........

I don't have a problem with Dak being as high as 5 right now. There's an argument for it.

That's what I was wondering with YOU

Carson Wentz:
43 Games, (24-19) Post Season (0-0) Win % (54.76)
QBR, (92.4)
Passing 76TDs - 30INTs (2.53 : 1 ratio)
Passing Yards : 10,995
Comp% : 63.54
Rushing (608 yds, 3 TDs)
TOTAL TDs 79 (1.83 per game)

Dak Prescott:
51 Games, (35-16) Post Season (1-2) Win % (68.63)
QBR, (97.9)
Passing 76TDs - 27INTs (2.81 : 1 ratio)
Passing Yards : 11,796
Comp% : 66.60
Rushing (1,032 yds, 19 TDs)
TOTAL TDs 95 (1.86 per game)

Every stat imaginable goes Dak's way here...

im not that low on dak, i just dont think hes shown enough to be crowned a top 5 qb. i am high on watson because i have watched him play

whats your reasoning for putting wilson #8?

wilson is second all time in career passer rating and first all time in 4th quarter passer rating (109.6)

since wilson came into the league only brady has won more games

since wilson came into the league (2012), he is the leader in 4th quarter comebacks (21) and game-winning drives (27)

wilson took his team to the superbowl in back to back years (something that only brady has achieved in the past few decades) and his career record in playoff games is 8-5

hes led the entire league in both passing tds (2017) and passer rating (2015)

I can see the argument for Wilson over Dak and I'm sure most have him over Dak. I don't have a problem with it. He's definitely more proven.

In fact looking back at my list if I misplaced something it's probably Matt Ryan being above Wilson, not sure why I did that. I should flip those. Ryan hasn't been so stellar.

Media still pushes the narrative that Wentz is better than Dak...Just pathetic and I have no horse in the race

My own personal theory is...

1. Draft spot and prospect status takes fckin years for people to shed. Wentz was drafted 2nd overall, Dak was drafted 4th round. Some fans still internalize that as Wentz being better even 4 years down the round, even though it doesn't mean shit at this point.

2. Dak plays for the hated Dallas Cowboys...sorry but this is a REAL thing. It was real with with Romo and it's real with Dak. People hate the Cowboys, so they don't want to give the QB any cred.

But we're penalizing Wentz for his rookie year. The player he was in his rookie year compared to now is night and day, so what use does his rookie year have in this discussion?

If I'm picking a QB right now, I don't care that Wentz was a below average QB in 2016.

It's 2019 now and he's a much better QB. He went from a sub 80 QB rating and almost a 1:1 ratio to a 100 QB Rating and a 4:1 TD to INT ratio.

And Dak is penalized with half a season of a completely useless cast where Hurns was the #1 WR and there was no TE.

Go ahead and compare the last 8 games of last season when Amari joins Dallas....you'll find that favoring Dak too

And you'll see Dak beating Wentz and the Eagles both games last season.

Completely useless?

Didn't they have one of the few elite RBs in the league? Didn't they have one of the best offensive lines?

Are we suppose to give Wentz a pass now because he's playing with a bunch of banged up guys on his offense?

It really comes down to this. His 60-16 TD to INT ratio over the last two years, the 100+ rating each season.... his level of play as unanimous MVP in 2017 weighs extremely heavily to me. And I think he's more talented. Stats are better the last two years, peak play much better. And he wins the eye test FOR M

Dak has never ever reached any MVP discussion in his career, let alone unanimous.

Maybe this is the year Dak explodes. If he continues to play the 30th, 31st and 32nd ranked defenses its probably going to happen

As of right now, the list looks something like this

Tier 1

Patrick Mahomes

Tier 2
Brady, Rodgers

Tier 3
Brees

Tier 4
Wentz, Dak, Wilson

Tier 5
Watson, Daniel Jones, Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson

The offense line was not viewed as elite last year no...it was decimated with injury

I haven't looked but I bet PFF had them ranked low last season.

Elliot was there...thats it...one elite RB

Id agree that Wentz was better in 2017, but as of recent, end of last season and this season, Dak has been the better player. In their careers as a whole Dak has been better.

You'll catch up to me on this issue later on the season...I'm okay with that

Im on board with this for the most part.

Move Watson up and kick Daniel Jones off though

Yeah, Watson could move up. But I think Jones is the real deal. He passes the eye test and seems incredibly composed. I'm speculating on Murray too. I think out of those 4 Jones and Kyler will end up having the best careers because of their arms.
