This was the worst case scenario that NBA teams had for the FIBA championships.... Personally, I was really impressed with Gasol's play during the FIBA tournament, and its a shame he got hurt for the Griz fans.

I wish him a speedy recovery!

Just wondering? Has anyone noticed that Pau plays alot better in all aspects of his game when he plays for his native Sapaniards

Come on your telling me that you play just as good with associates as you do with your closest friends.Pau is real close with that whole team they know eachother in side and out. They know exactly how to play to all of there strengths together and are probably alot more comfortable together. The grizzlies have set ways and rules about playing have you noticed there have been no alley oops anymore, even though pau and hawk call for em all day.Its a job here plain and simple there its passion and fun it means more.

That's because Pau plays with them as a team. And FIBA's playing system is really different from NBA's and Gasol is more confortable with it. Maybe that's the problem, that Gasol is all alone when he plays with Grizz, and can't play as well as he plays in ACB or with his country.

However, I believe that these four months will be a good pause for Gasol to improve his game and his ideas, and of course for Grizzlies to improve themselves to demostrate that they're not only Pau Gasol. That's the moment for Stoudamire, Miller, Jones, Gay or Tsakalidis. It'll be a very hard work to stay in the race for PO but undoubtly they'll try with attitude.

P.D: Sorry if my English is not very good but I'm from Spain. Thanks for reading and see you around!!!

Man I would have thought that since pau was spains top player that he would get a touch evertime down.It was the opposite pau hardly ever got touches he was like there go to guy when the clock wound down.Pau averaged 22+ still even though he didnt have the ball constantly.Just crazy cause here he has the ball 80% of time.

Pau is not like Dirk, Kobe or Lebron. These players can make themselves their own play, without any help from their partners. Pau, till now, is not like that. Pau will not come at the level of these players, but he is undoubtedly the best player of our team. He has improved in his shot, his rebound, his defense, almost quite, but he's not perfect. Because of it he needs the help of his partners and much more when he returns of his injury.

The question is not how many time Pau has the ball, but how usable it will be. And in it, his parterns and, of course, his trainer are keys. Now Gasol is injured it's time for Fratello to think seriously about that.

Regards
