Nene starting at C and Martin at PF with Curry off the bench sounds fairly reasonable. As long as he's not starting. We're not winning anything with him starting, no disrespect to him.
I never quite understood why Denver fans have shown so much support for Nene. He makes almost as much money as Curry, has been injury riddled, and his stats really show no upside from Curry or any other starting Center in the NBA.
I really want to see this team suceed, and Nene will not be the answer to the starting Center position. Curry may not be the ideal fit because of his lack of defense, but Nene can't really defend either. They are basically the same player when you boil it down. The team would have depth with both players.

Curry would be interesting to use with Melo. Offensively I think it would work. Crawford isn't bad, but I don't know how his game would look along side Melo's. Defensively Crawford works out, but Curry doesn't. Nene and Curry are both huge, but faster guys are going to cause them problems. Could work if you still had Camby around.
As for New York, the next thing they do is look to move Iverson for something more valuable for them. They would mich rather move Randolf than Curry though. They are so messed up already they might do it to untie themselves a little.
I really like Hinrich, so I guess I am biased from the get go. You might be asking Hughes to be too much in that trade, but at least he is the defense while JR is the offense. That could make a useful pair at shooting guard. If Gooden didn't come with Thomas, I wouldn't like it. But Gooden with Thomas makes things interesting.
Chicago would unfortunately insist that Gordon be added to any trade right now with a sign and trade. I wonder how Iverson would fit with Rose. I expect to see Rose end up more of a scoring one (but we really can't tell yet). Hinrich and Iverson are a little better of a combo IMO.
I really don't know how you will react to this, but I'll throw it out there.
I like Nene, but with Denver trading Camby if he goes down injured again the Nuggets are f***ed. We're looking at Hunter or Chris Anderson in the starting lineup, which would be terrible. If the West is as competitive as last year, might as well throw your playoff hopes out the window.
Nobody likes that trade because its far from realistic. Whenever you come up with a trade idea you have to seriously think how each team will benefit. I find that trade way heavily lopsided in favor of Denver.
Cleveland would be stupid to do such a trade for only Iverson in return. Leaves them with no starting or backup powerforward. They had Joe Smith and traded him already, so they'd now have nobody. Your talking a no-name scrub at starting PF. And if Ilgauskus gets injured, the whole season is a wash, easily.
And why would Chicago give up Hinrich (easily their best bench player) along with Thomas (another solid athletic player), for a long contract injury prone player in K-Mart. You think they'd put that much faith in Rose? What if he is a bust? What if he gets injured like over the summer? They'd end up trying to play Gordon at starting point, and Sefolosha at back up. Or end up having to move Hughes down to point, and we all see how that went in Cleveland.... FAIL!! The Bulls are trying to move Gordon, everyone should stop involving other players in trades unless it involves Gordon.
