with recent lack of bigmen in the NBA have they finally come back with an array of players that have entered the NBA in the last few years.
oden, bogut, bosh, bynum, dwight, okafor, stoudemire and Ming. sure these big men can't compare to the ones we saw in the first 4 decades of the NBA, but do we finally have a decent foundation of bigmen back in the NBA
Chris Bosh is not a centre, he was forced to play that role in the olympics. imo he is a small forward. But i think Big men have been missing for a while, bynum, dwight, oden and yao. are definately making a Case for the big men in the league.
I wouldn't really call Bosh a "big man"... I mean he is tall and can play center, but his game is more rounded than say a Yao, Bogut, or Howard. There is a lot of good big men emerging but I think the days of the lumber giants ruling the paint isn't going to be seen in the NBA for a while. We have shifted to a more mobile quick style of big man. The big guys can still make a name for themselves(ie. Yao), but the style constricts play options while offering little bonus so it isn't due to change anytime soon.
