But anyways I still think Ginobili is the most overrated player in the NBA if not definitely the most overrated swingman.

I love Manu but there isnt a Tim Duncan in Atlanta. I can only imagine how well Joe Johnson would play next to Duncan.

Spurs yes, Hawks no on this trade.

Duncan doesn't play on the Argentinian national squad.....Johnson played with healthy Amare

Age difference kill this deal for Atlanta. Manu is much better than JJ but he is also more injury prone and is nearing declining stage of his career if he's not there alredy. JJ, while he may never reach Manu's level, is still a great player for a young team like Atlanta.

On the other hand, Spurs might want to push for the title one last time next year. They certainly need Manu on that team.

This trade doesn't make sense for both team.

How is Ginobili so superior to JJ?

Ginobili is an overrated flopper who has little to no heart.

When Nocioni and Yao were playing with pain (in the Olympics) he wimped out.

He has game no doubt but besides scoring and flopping he offers little else, i.e. leadership, passing, or defense.

Plus he's 31! Why trade a young Johnson for an older player who is perennially hurt?

Argentina doesn't play in the NBA. Amare is no Tim Duncan, healthy or injured. Huge difference.

The only thing that would prevent me from trading for Manu is age and durability. Manu seems to have some kind of lingering injury throughout each year and he just had ankle surgery. Skill wise, I take Manu in a heart beat. He is a leader, he can create his own shot, finish in the paint, shoot the long ball. I think he often gets underrated bc of the fact he plays with Timmy. I just think he is a winner and he can handle pressure situations. However, I think he needs to be paired with a superstar to be effective.

Joe is no scrub. He is a bonafide stud. I just like Manu's overall game better. He is a proven winner, and can take over games when needed. His stats are deceiving bc if he was on any other team than the Spurs, you know he would avg many more minutes. And his stats are impressive already. Joe is a great player, but even after they pushed the Celtics to the edge in last years playoffs, he really hasnt achieved much at a high level.

Manu has already incredible stats, he just has less volume and more efficieny than other top players.
You'll find many more players with JJ's stats than with Manu's stats, in NBA history => and I bet the guy's with Manu's stats were in winning teams.

You got that confused. Manu got tons of heart. It's you that's obviously missing a brain.

Manu put his career on the line to play in the Olympics as it is, considering his injury. He was one of the main factors his team even got that far. He re-aggravated his injury in the game against the USA. What do you want him to do, continue playing on one leg?

Plus the "no passing or defense" part. Jesus Christ. It's hard to find a more complete shooting guard in the league, and that includes passing as well as defense.

Seriously, you're only ten posts old. Quit while there's still time, get yourself a new username and start anew.
