as for Toronto being "for sure" better than Orlando, Orlando won 11 more games last year than Toronto. I know that Bosh missed some games, but they still would have beaten them by more than 5. Jermaine O'Neal is an upgrade WHEN HEALTHY, but problem is he hasn't been for years. Orlando didn't get too much better, but replacing Evans Arroyo and Dooling with Courtney Lee, Anthony Johnson and Mickael Pietrus is an upgrade in my opinion. Orlando is still better until further notice
Guys, it's just Donyell Marshall. 76ers fans have lots of things to be excited about this off-season, but Marshall isn't one of them.
Basically. If this was Donyell Marshall when he was a Toronto Raptor? Then I'd (because dude was a damn Sixers killer from downtown). But now? Just another veteran body, experienced where certain situations (depending on what those may be) he'll get some burn. How effective/efficient? Really dont know. Its the same story with Theo Ratliff. These two names would sound great/be worth the "omg stefanski = god, i love his ass (ot literally tho heehee)" if this was 3yrs ago. But alas, its not. Just to round out the roster and add insurance/bodies. Considering Jason Smith is injured and Marreese Speights could spend time in the NBDL unless he proves in practice/preseason he deserves minutes/is ready.
Getting Brand was great and adding Rush to replace Korver was nice. That in itself helps makes the Sixers a solid/legit playoff contender. I'd bank more on Iggy proving he can be the starting SG, Lou/Thad improving thier games over Marshall/Theo doing anything. Heck I'd bank on Theo providing something before Donyell. But again dude is 35, on the last hoorah of his career so he isnt lookin to play significant minutes. Just be on a team that is a playoff contender and if he can add anything during the reg if not postseason? Nice. But its not something I hope/exppect.
