I agree he is a ball hog. And he dosent play defense. But I think his stats are fair. You saying his stats are only good is like saying the rudy gays stats are only good because he is playing on a weak team. We all know that rudy is good and his stats are a fair assesment of his skill level. Randolph has been putting up 19/10 for awhile now. He is an elton brand type. Except he dosent play defense and hardly ever passes. So he is not that much like elton brand, haha.

He would be a huge boost over any other power forward that we have ever had here. Maybe being on his third team would give him new insight and make him really play up to his level.

I certainly don't think that he will play up to his level by coming here. I feel that he will only get worse by coming to a team like Memphis. The team's main goal this season is to improve defense, Heisley has stated that he wants to see a drastic improvement in defense, a defensive specialist has been brought in to help the team improve it's defense (I can't remember his name right now).

He is a ball hog. We already have players that are out to get their's. Can Gay, Mayo and Randolph co-exist on one team? Not a chance in hell.

Also, Randolph may be more talented than any PF we have right now, but I couldn't care less if he was more talented, because he will not fit into the team. He will not play defense and he will not pass, two things that we desperately need to address. Bringing him in just goes against everything that Wallace has been working on since he traded Pau.

the biggest problem the grizz have is rebounding not defense. The grizz are able to get stops by playing good fiesty defense. The problem is that we never get the defensive rebounds. So the opposing team always gets second chance points. Which are why we lost half of our games. If randolph is able to come in and rebound, which he will do. That will cut out alot of second chance oppurtunities for the opposing team.

I agree that I dont think that he will fit well. His style is more suited for a half court system. But maybe he dosent pass that much because the team he is on is also selfish and not that talented. I mean their two starting guards dont pass either. Shots are hard to come by there. Marbury, crawford, and curry all dont pass unless they have to.

Randolph would come in here and would see that this team actually plays unselfishly. Conley is a pass first pass second guy. Mayo and Gay also like to defer to their teammates. I dont think shots would be that big of a problem. I think its sad that our shooting guard was our top rebounder last year. That should tell you how bad we need help in the low post.

You guys need to stop being so pessimistic and look to the bright side of his talent level.

I agree that he brings rebounding, but he is a huge liability on defense. His defense is almost non-existent. I also agree that he is a talented player, but he does not fit our system even slightly. He is a massive ball hog and doesn't seem like the kind of guy you'd want to have in your locker room. He will not be a good mentor on or off the court, for the young players of our team.

I do not want this guy on this team. I agree that he is talented, you don't put up 19/10 by getting lucky, but he will not help the Memphis Grizzlies or what Wallace wants to achieve. Though, at this point I don't really know what Wallace wants. First he wants to rid Memphis of Pau's huge contract, then he wants to bring in youth and potential and now he wants to bring in Randolph who goes against both of those things.

Guys I mean whats the worst that could happen? I mean its not like were gonna be winning that much anyways. He is instant offense. The guy has been in negative, thug like locker rooms his whole career. Maybe he needs a change of scenery. Bonzi wells had a bum wrap but came in here and was a good player and a good guy. You could have him and gay as your two main options. Then mayo could be the third that way he dosent have that much pressure on him. I think its a great idea.

Its not like zach is gonna come here and cause us to win less than 22 games. The grizz are already doing that on their own.

Worst that could happen? He could absolutely kill the team chemistry and with such a young team that are still trying to find themselves in terms of what does and does not work on the basketball, team chemistry is a huge thing for these guys. They need players they can trust and have respect for. Bringing in Randolph will, without a doubt, ruin that.

um since portland when he was on the "jailblazer" what has he done wrong off the court? The only problems he has had is on the court issues. And I still say all of his problems come from the teams and situations that he has been in. I think ivaroni could really help thig guy turn over a new leaf.

He has no heart, he has a piss poor attitude and does work well within a team concept, he will not fit in with Memphis. I couldn't care how good is stats are, his attitude and style of play completely destroys any talent that he shows.

I do not want this guy on the Grizzlies, some of you may want him, but he is the last guy in the league who I want on this team.

He would have fit in well on the Clippers, but I don't understand this move at all. The Grizz should at least give Gasol and Warrick a chance. Warrick came on strong towards the end of last year.

Warrik always does that. He give up to much on the defensive end. He cand rebound and is to small to defend any real power forwards.
