Well the Yankees always have the most talent. But have they always won with it?
I don't think the Yankees play aswell together as the Mets.
I think the Mets pitching is superior. Wang I doubt performs that well in the postseason. And even if he does. The way Hernandez pitches in the postseason is a definate plus, I'd use him as a starter.

And the Mets can match runs with the Yanks on any given day. The Mets have barely had anything to play for since like the allstar break, and they're still dominating and winning even with some injuries.
If they did meet in the World Series, I'd take the Mets.
Chien-Ming Wang Record- 16-5 ERA.3.69 Strikeouts 111
Randy Johnson Record- 16-10 ERA. 4.94 Strikeouts 145
Mike Mussina Record- 13-5 ERA. 3.61 Strikeouts 150
Reyes < Derek Jeter
Lo Duca < Jorge Posada
Beltran > Johnny Damon
Delgado < Jason Giambi
Wright < Alex Rodriguez
Green < Bobby Abreu
Floyd < Hideki Matsui
Valentin < Robinson Cano
Chavez/Pitcher < Yankees Pitching.. Check the stats
ANY DH YOU GOT < GARY SHEFFIELD
you're just being biased. Almost all of the positions have comprable stats.
Reyes basically the same as Derek Jeter
Lo Duca > Jorge Posada-been hitting like .400 since the all-star break
Beltran > Johnny Damon-not even close
Delgado basically the same as Jason Giambi
Wright basically the same as Alex Rodriguez
Green < Bobby Abreu
Floyd < Hideki Matsui
Valentin < Robinson Cano
Starting pitching when healthy is basically equal
The bullpen of the Mets, aside from Rivera>Wagner, is vastly superior to the Yanks, not even close...
The Mets build a team with good under the radar signings and trades. Of course they have their share of big names, but the bulk of the team is quality signings...
Chad Bradford
Duaner Sanchez
Endy Chavez
Jose Valentin
Roberto Hernandez
Guillermo Mota
Pedro Felicano
Dave Williams
El Duque
Darren Oliver
John Maine
this is how you build a team. The Yanks just buy all big names, pay them as much as they can and throw them at a wall and hope they stick....
so that's why you have over 700 posts...anyway...
The Yankees will always be a better team, they spend a lot of money and Derek Jeter is the man. Put a lot of homerun hitters behind this guy on any team and he will make a team a hell of a lot better. Once Matsui comes back, that's going to make them even more potent and the Chef hits homeruns I guess...who cares if he comes back even though he's that kind of rough neck dude that gives the Yankees a little bit of an edge...probably equals more wins...yeah...now I'm waiting for the Yankees to steal Liriano and Santana from my Twins and all of the Major Leagues can go cry because they probably end up with the best season record of all time.

your a met fan, or you just like them because your saying everything a met fan would say..
Wang wouldnt pitch good in the post season? Explain why he has 16 wins.. all the sudden hernandez is superior? He doesn't impress me, that's why hes bouncin around the league. Mets players play better together? they are in the NL of course they are going to win, come to the AL mets wouldnt win that many games

are you joking? did i just put my top 3 pitchers against your top 3 and your top 3 get smoked by the record? they double some of your pitchers record..im sorry to say this but mets pitching is nothing near the yankees..

Delgado basically the same as Jason Giambi
He's not basically better then jason giambi, giambi leads in HR'S and RBI'S and Doubles. He hits the ball better and is a better fielder then delgado, dont get over yourself man it's okay..

Lo Duca > Jorge Posada-been hitting like .400 since the all-star break
once again, take it to the stats, lo duca got in the allstar game in the NL, posada would be an allstar if in NL, not to mention 2 three run homers last night was impressive
Posada > Lo Duca, please dont compare
Quote:
Reyes basically the same as Derek Jeter
you are the biggest met homer in the world if you believe this..jeter being compared to reyes now? when jeter could win AL mvp? stop getting ahead of yourself homer.
Quote:
Wright basically the same as Alex Rodriguez
now your making me laugh, look at the HR'S and RBI'S AROD is the better player, im sorry to tell you met homers but you will not win a world series
Quote:
METS>Yanks
don't get it twisted, mets are good but will never compare to the yanks
