When I was younger (NES-16bit era) I used to sell off my games to get the cash up to buy new games.

In the last 8 or so years… I have spent alot of time (and money) re-buying the games I had as a kid. I never sold off my consoles though… just packed them in the box when the next gen came around. Basically what I had done to build my library was re-buy what I had as well as get the games I never could afford as a youth…

Yep. I remember you'd roll in with a $50 dollar game and pimple-faced nerd behind the counter would be like ... "You can exchange that for $1.04 EB credit."

Like become a game programmer.

Nah… I just enjoy playing games

I did some freelance writing a couple years ago but it was too much like work and to make a hobby into career/job can ruin it some…
