The problem is there is really one team that has zero chance of playoffs (Portland) Everyone else thinks there team has a shot. Should turn into an exciting season.

I quess instead of improving on a 45 win season with a young squad the lakers are just gonna fall off, and with solid additions to the team like Vlad & Mo evans we will be worst. I understand your a heat fan but let's be honest.

knicks are going to be better than last season, but not much better...lakers will fight hard for 8th seed because of improved rockets and hornets, but will probably win 40-45 games. they added decent player in radmanovic and another decent one in mo evans (they got him for esentially nothing)

I highly doubt that. If the Rockets would have made the Playoffs, and with the Lakers being 8th place, LA wouldn't have made the playoffs. It's simple addition by subtraction. Houston is in, LA goes out. Just thank T-mac's back and all the other injuries for getting the Lakers into the playoffs.

If the Rockets had made the playoffs last year, standings-wise, the Lakers would have still have been eligible for the playoffs. If the Rockets and Utah had made the playoffs last year, standings-wise, the Lakers would have still have been eligible for the playoffs.

Someone needs to go look at the year end standings from last year.

You are delusional. I guarantee that the Lakers will make the players this year. They're definitely better than last year and in case you don't know players benefit from one year under the triangle. It is a system offense not a Wade-drive-and-get-ghost-calls offence.
I know some Lakers fans get over emotional but these haters are just plain crazy.

Phoenix were a #2 seed without Amare all season long, yeah Kurt Thomas was a big lose...but LA still took a 3-1 lead in that series, they're better then some of you think...and they're improved...from the free-agent/draft aspect, recognizing the triangle better and from the potential aspect (Bynum, Brown, Odom, Kwame I think will all be better).
