Default Gregg Popovich predicted return of don nelson

San Antonio Express-News from a few days ago: Gregg Popovich predicted the return of Don Nelson even as he was toasting his farewell. "I look forward to seeing all of you in four or five years," Popovich told a gathering in the Dallas area last fall, "when we have the next Nellie retirement party in another town."

Now others are predicting Nelson will take his new-old team to the postseason in his first year. "The Golden State Warriors, at last, are a playoff team again," an columnist wrote. "Mark it down."

Bringing back Nelson makes sense for the Warriors. He will have more success than an out-of-his-element Mike Montgomery had. And there's enough intriguing talent in the Bay Area for Nelson to gimmick up the game.

i'm sure in the back of everone's minds they knew Don Nelson would be back. it's in his blood. when you've been doing it that long i don't think you can see yourself doing anything else. & the roster in GS will truly test his ability to formulate a winning line-up. & i'm sure that has gotten his blood rushing!
