Default S.I.'s take on Raps battle for SF.

According to Marty Burns, its Moons to lose and Kaponos to win. Joey is only going to garbage mins unless he's being showcased for a trade.

Andrea at SF IMO is a mistake and I hope they try it in Pre-season and forget about it after that.

The more you showcase Joey Graham, the less he is worth. Unless you pay the other team to not defend him ha ha ha, which is also match fixing.

Joey has a decent mid range shot, he is an atheletic guy but he has ZERO IQ. I don't know, I think there might be teams who would take a chance on him. Maybe a team with a good coach who would teach him how to play??

he is quite the dissapointment for a 16th overall pick. I remember when Babcock took Charlie V, people gave him a hard time. When he picked Joey Graham, they prasied him. It turned out that Charlie V was a great move but not Joey Graham. With a 16th overall pick, you are hoping for either an average starter or a very good player off the bench, and Joey is neither.

Joey can't drive the ball at all. He is strong but with horrible hand-eye coordination. Everytime he's trying to drive to the hoop, I hold my breadth that he doesn't lose the ball. Kind of like Keon Clarke, can't dribble at all.

I have a hard time calling it a battle. No offense to these guys, but it's pretty much a matter of who's the most decent on a given night. I don't really see Mitchell giving a priority to any of these guys. Graham is a monster in terms of size and athleticism but he's a bonehead on defense, and contributes next to nothing on offense. Moon is a fairly good help defender, a good rebounder, and a terrific athlete but he sometimes gets lost on the court, and offensively he's trying too hard to incorporate jumpshooting into his game. and Kapono pretty much is a specialist, so I wouldn't see a benefit in putting him in the starting lineup. I think he'd be best served coming off the bench.

Kapono might start those minutes exactly because he is the specialist. I think he is actually the default starter as of this minute.

If down low is already crowded with JO and CB and defense rotations colapsing on the both of them to double team.... an open specialist that hits with consistency would force the d to spread back out and not colapse on the 2 big men.

AP can sort of do the same;

However I am hoping the AP and Caleron will drive the bucket with some consistency (taking turns) - see the d shift on to them and then dump off to the easy and obvious mismatch agains either JO or CB so one of the big men slam home the easy dunk.
