I can't disagree with the fact that it's long, nor is it especially funny, but I liked much more than Kensta.
I'd say it's worth seeing.

Is it out on DVD yet, or did you download it from somewhere?

I really loved that movie.

I got a screener off of Demonoid. The quality wasn't spectacular and was probably ripped from a VHS. I wouldn't waste my time burning it, wait for the DVD.

I loved it as well. Lots of reviews pegged it a "teenager" flick, but I did not view it like that at all.

I busted out all my old Replacements CDs the minute I got home from there.

It's my favorite movie of the year so far.

Watched "All About the Benjamins" last night on TV for some reason. Contrived and completely unrealistic plot, exceptionally poor script full of cliches, lame, lame, LAME jokes, and border-line offensive use of African-American Vernacular English (I know it's an African-American movie, that doesn't mean you write black characters like morons).

Much of the dramatic tension between the protagonists comes from Ice Cube and Mike Epps alternating from being either "partners" or "ain't we aint not no partners n'more niucka!" at various points for various strange reasons. They randomly become involved in a diamond heist and eventually find the diamonds hidden in a fish tank (stolen directly from "Out of Sight") AND lose a $60 million lottery ticket (a classic "I dropped my wallet and didn't notice" plot contrivance) that they also have to find, battling under-developed villain characters in mediocre shoot-outs, fist fights, and car chases. Epps is annoying and Cube shows why he is better as a supporting actor... in GOOD movies. A young, smoking hot Eva Mendes raises it one point to 3.5/10.

They had the Stone's "Tops" on there during one scene, which wasn't listed on the soundtrack. Perfect song for that particular scene. And I just started downloading Husker Du's discography. I never knew I liked them.

I actually got a couple Husker Du discs after seeing it too. They were the one band in there I didn't really know anything about.

Don't Change under the fireworks was great. Just like Heaven was a little too on the nose for a Cure tune there, but it still worked. Lou Reed was the perfect slightly under the radar guy to have Ryan Reynolds not really know about. And they don't list Breakin The Law, but the chase scene set to that works great too.

I'm not a huge fan of the Cure, but I think that song worked wonderfully with that scene. In fact, I don't think I've ever really listened to them before. I might have to go download some stuff of theirs.

And the Lou Reed thing worked great, since he released in album in '88 right? Or maybe '87?

Why is it that every scene Kristen Stewart is in is so damn awkward. I liked the movie but that chick just has this blank stare when she is on screen.

She actually made the movie for me. She seems incredibly vulnerable. And she's going through some awkward stuff, so her seeming awkward sort of fits the bill.
I liked her in it so much I went out of my way to check out some of her other recent work, and was a little disappointed to find that in The Land of Women, she plays almost exactly the same role. It may just be her persona. She's working on The Runaways right now as Joan Jett. I'm looking forward to seeing that, it could be a make or break moment for her, because she's going to have to be far more aggressive and vocal than anything I've seen her in up to now, and could indicate weather she's got some range, or is just suited for this introspective personality.
