Solid and quotable movie... but it's a busy film. Not on par with Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Mean Streets or Taxi Driver. But it's a solid 7.5/10. The quotable lines is mostly what makes this movie even go. The characters and the plot just aren't all that interesting.
Good flick also. But I don't like how the some coincidences come together to tie the flick up.
Personally, I would have made the mute kid kill Penn's daughter because he didn't want to see his brother movie away. Them not purposely shooting the girl and Robbins character beating up in child molester the same night... I don't know. It just doesn't sit right with me. But the movie still had good acting and all. Gone Baby Gone is a moving with a much better and more thoughtful ending IMO.
A more entertaining comedy than I remember. Granted, most of the comedy is held up by Jack, but he and Tomei (Who always adds to the movie) makes this movie worthwhile. I liked John Reilly's cameo also.

Beautifully shot, with great acting and a fitting score. The plot is compelling, but if you're one of the many A.D.D kids that populate this site don't even bother, as it's very methodically paced.
Edit - Just read, it's getting an American remake starring Nicolas Cage...so I'm sure it's generally going to be dumbed down, with the lead female being played by Monica Belluci or something. They'll probably also add in some gun scenes.

It isn't a horrible movie... I just wasn't feeling it. Something about Jamie Foxx just doesn't work for me. He isn't a bad actor and it seems like he invests a lot into his roles, but his performances rarely hit a chord with me. This was no different.
I felt like the whole story was kind of disjointed and hollow. Downey was OK, but not great. It was just a mediocre movie, imo.
