They are showing it on the PBS website, apparently. I don't like watching stuff on my computer, but here is the link...

Here it is on torrentreactor...

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Was pretty excited for this one, but didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped I would. Found it difficult to keep my attention on the plotline until the story built a little towards the end when the "other" actors started showing up in Heath Ledger's character's spot. It was an interesting movie, but I was expecting more

6.5/10

It centers around urban sprawl attempting to take over and essentially kill the uniqueness and natural beauty of Austin, Texas.

Also, Sigur Ros does part of the soundtrack
wait, what!? a movie... about the sprawling beauty... and unique nature... of austin... scored by... NOT eits...?

WHAT??? do they know what they just did? they've unleashed a warrant for the battle of the post rock bands! this thing is going to be bigger than any race war a cokehead actor midget ever dreamed up! if they think explosions in the sky will stand for this... this humiliation and degradation... to think that these executives might even CONSIDER doing something on this level is almost mind boggling. we're all going to have to choose sides. good and evil, allies and axis, god and satan... we will have to pick between two of the best bands in the world, to determine that very world's fate.

its almost too much. although the obvious choice is sigur ros.

I watched it with my brother and I noted to him that I was surprised that EITS wasn't contacted to do the soundtrack. But, as much as I love EITS, Sigur Ros couldn't have been more perfect.

Though, I have to think that if the guys in EITS had heard about this documentary and what it involved, they would have volunteered their entire catalog and maybe even composed all new stuff specifically for this film.

Wrong answer.

Coldplay is to Radiohead as God Is An Astronaut is to EITS.

I figured that would get a rise out of you. I actually like God Is An Astronaut from what I've heard. But, I can't compare them to EITS... I just can't.

Now... Watch The Unforeseen tonight.

I really like Mogwai from what I've heard.

Check out this tasty track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgJLm7RKxNE

I still think that EITS is the best post rock band out there, though. I don't really consider Sigur Ros to be post rock.... That whole atmospheric/Icelandic scene is a bit different, imo.
