I just watched Shawshank Redemption last night and gotta give it no less then a 8/10 stars. Its the kind of movie I dont think I really ever want to watch again, but it was great once. This is what made it only an 8 star in my book personally.
A short Western that runs about an hour and 15 minutes. A posse forms to go after a murderous cattle rustler. It's kind of predictable, but still moving. I thought it started off a bit shaky, but then it gets going. It comes off as a bit contrived and I think it should have been longer to flesh it out more, but it's still worth a watch. B
Adaptation is the shit muthaphucka, best recognize.
Okay.. maybe I went a bit too far there.. but It really is a very underrated film.
Hahaha it was a good movie, and is definitely underrated... But I just didn't click with it or Punch-Drunk.
I think it's because I could see some similarities to the main characters, and that makes my stomach turn a little. Punch-Drunk made me feel so anxious and terrible, which was the point... But it hit me hard.
I doubt I'd rewatch either... But I love Being John Malkovich.
I don't know what to give it. There were so many concepts packed in the movie, I had trouble wrapping my head around it. To be honest, I couldn't catch many of the meanings during the watch, but man was this film dark. I consider myself an amateur movie watcher.
For those who watched it, what do you think of it?
Very enjoyable. Matt Damon does a pretty great job although its not too different from his Ocean's character. It was really entertaining to watch the entire fiasco begin from a simple phone call and just completely spiral out of control. I'm a big fan of movies that don't tell you everything thats going on and anything to do with corporate espionage. 8/10
