Collateral: Very solid 3/4s of a movie. Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise are in prime form. The storyline is a tad predictable, but it's solid nonetheless. The ending leaves a lot to be desired.
6/10
TNT last night?

and to the above poster who said up in the air turned out predictable, i don't know why but i did not see [what happened with the love story] coming. it was a very enjoyable movie to me, about a 7.5.

Up in the Air - 7/10
This turned out better than I expected and I didn't see the ending happening like that.
Kick-ass - 7/10
Thought there would be more comedy but there was nice action and a decent plot.
Rocket Science - 6.5/10
I liked the plot and everything but for some reason I never saw a Eureka moment that I was expecting. Kid never even delivered a whole argument. Not my cup of tea.
Hot tub time Machine - 8/10
Way better than I expected. Some great comedy, simple plot but it worked for me. The type of movie you can just kick back and relax to watch.
She's out of my League - 5/10
It had promise but it was way too predictable for me. +5 for the super hot chick.
Date Night - 7/10
I thought this was another romance movie. I was pleasantly surprised. Some really funny moments, solid ending.
The A-Team - 6/10
Rampage was a bad Mr. T knock off. But an OK comedy, nothing special. I wonder if there's a sequel?
I just watched the Hidden Fortress on DVD again tonight. Haven't watched it in well over 5 years. Loved it the first time seeing it, now love it even more.
10/10 ratings from me. Personally, I think it's the best Kurosawa film but it's underrated by the general masses.
A movie I would definitely recommend, but a lot of people are overrating the shit out of it. It was a good movie, yeah, but it's not this extremely deep, confusing plot that it's made out to be. The ending was good, and for once, Ellen Page was tolerable!
I'd say I got my $8 worth. Wouldn't mind seeing it again, either.
i've streamed enough movies like this on netflix for it to have created a "Gory Foreign Horror Movie" category for me. thankfully it generated this movie because it was awesome!
i'm a big fan of movies that feature lost appendages being replaced by guns, chainsaws, and various other weaponry and there was no shortage of such subject matter here. plenty of disturbing yakuza style violence, blood spurts, and twisted tongue in cheek humor. most everything i'm looking for in a film.
I had dismissed this movie for years, despite featuring Kris. Man, was I an idiot. Really a very solid movie all around. Good character development and relatable situations.
Id say 8/10 overall. But if people are giving Machine Girl 9/10 I dont know what ratings even mean anymore.

Don't rate movies based on what others think. You should rate them as if you live in a bubble.[/quote]
sure, but a 9/10 means that the machine girl is one of the best movies of all time in his opinion. That is shocking to me, even accounting for differences in taste.
