A Street Car Named Desire

One of my favorite plays of all time and the movie adaption does it justice. Great characters and actors. Brando is incredible as always.

96/100

Edit- my stepmom just tried to convince me Tremors is a classic movie and that she can't stand Brando and can't understand how he had a career as an actor due to his voice. Jesus ****ing Christ.

Tremors is a classic though.

The thing that made Streetcar so great as a film is that Kazan used the same cast that performed it on Broadway. They were stellar and Karl Malden was quite deserving of the best supporting actor oscar.

93.7/100

Just cuz some of the song sequences are really boring and drag on. Always loved this movie though

Just had a double feature with my buddy a few nights ago.

The Fighter

9/10

The Black Swan

9/10

So different and so awesome I can't rank one over another.

I enjoy movies where the "bad guys" are intelligent, I was rooting for the gang the whole way. For a bunch of young criminals, they showed a lot of wit and were pretty bad-ass with the shooting. Especially Renner, guy was a total bad-ass in the movie, like a one-man army out there.

I could not stand the FBI Agent, he came off so creepy. Once again Jeremy Renner puts on a stellar performance, guy is hands down my favorite actor our right now. Overall, I'd give this movie a solid 8.5. It would have gotten a higher score if they didn't concentrate so much on the characterization; I wanted to see more action!

I got the Inception Blu-Ray last night as well as this movie; going to see Inception tonight.

I agree with everything but your opinion on Jon Hamm. I think his portrayal was fantastic and it really stuck out with me on the first viewing. Did you see the extended cut or the theatrical? Extended has 23 extra minutes. I haven't seen it yet, though.

Tron 6.5 / 10

Like: It was cool, the soundtrack was awesome, the cgi was good.

Didn't like: the lead character, and two aspects of the story.

The first one is still the better one.

Jon Hamm was great. I think his description of him as creepy is sort of a compliment, because he sorta is. The way he lurked around the sister at the end was slimy and really well done.

The other cop wasn't bad either. It took me all season to figure out he was JimmyO, the irish gun runner, from Sons of Anarchy the past couple seasons.

I thought Cross meant his creepiness was a bad thing, and that's why I disagreed. To be honest, Hamm's combination of creepiness and confident cop syndrome was brilliant to me. It's almost like he was f*cking with everyone in the movie, like he was just so much smarter than everyone else. And in the end, he was. The scene in the bar where he plays the girl like a fiddle was to me, the best scene in the movie. That smile he gave just before he pulled out his badge, that hit me like a sniper bullet.

Ok I'm definitely gonna watch the extended cut this week.

I just downloaded Black Swan too and I'm really not sure if I should watch it. I really want to see it in theaters, but the convenience might be too much.

Went to see the Fighter yesterday.

I thought it was a great movie.... 4.5/5

I've never been a big Christian Bale fan but he was amazing in this movie.

Brought the wife to see it and she really like it too

I wouldn't ruin my first viewing of it on a screener that id watch from my computer. I'm either going to go to the theater or wait til the bluray comes out and watch it in surround sound.

You should wait and watch it in theater..the impressive visuals and dynamic soundtrack makes it a big screen must see..

I really have no problem with waiting months until the DVD release for hyped up movies like this. Shit, I still haven't seen Inception yet.

Hopefully I got Inception for Christams lol.
