Don't tell me you just watched that. It is well known that people should avoid it. Its not even in the "so bad it is good" territory from what I've heard, just "so bad it is a waste of time" bad.

Solaris (Soderbergh's) 7/10

Good story, good acting, good soundtrack...good movie...not good as the original though...

Arthur: 6/10- The script is kind of weak. That said Russel Brand has awesome delivery. But this movie wasn't like really laugh out loud funny but for a few moments.

A very solid coming of age/quirky boy meets quirky girl movie.

How? The movie was a lot less ambitious. The only thing comparable is the genre.

Your Higness: Funny, and probably much more so if stoned. 6/10

the thriller part was paced well but their ending and explanation were ridiculous. Horrible ending.

i felt a bit milked dramatically by the ending yes(slightly displeasing) but as far as a logical explanation, as i was watching it i was thinking- hhhmmm this is flawed but actually after some thought it wasnt actually flawed. the explanation of the workings of source code as laid out by the scientist was off, it was closer to what jake thought it was. alternate realities. and in that respect it does actually add up.

I disagree. Source code revealed the major twists about half way through the movie and the rest consisted of finishing the whodunit with a minor reveal in the end. In inception, I felt that I could never truly trust what I was shown and that most conversations had deeper meanings to them. There was also less tension in Source code because of the condition of the protagonist.

oh, so I have to assume the scientist was blatently lying though? Given the explanation of the source code the entire movie doesn't make sense. Given one of the scenes in the movie, it also made no sense that they are creating alternate universes[when the chick starts flickering when he makes the phone call after going outside the limitations of the source code.]

You suspend disbelief for sci fi movies but the movie has to play by it's own rules. This movie did not.

4/10

Man, I really wanted to like this film but it was terrible. Pseudo intellectual, convoluted, pretentious and shallow.

Zero character development...the soundtrack is cliched and pasted all over the movie, forcing the viewer to feel something rather than hinting or creating a mood. It reminds me of Watchmen, or the Fall.....colourful cinematography and an overloaded soundtrack replacing solid plot and character development. Yuck, and then people have the balls to compare this to a Lynch or even a Gilliam movie (although he's had comparable stinkers)...

8/10 solid movie, great cast, places the viewer right in the middle of the action, the atmosphere and drama in all three stories are palpable...real storytelling, what a contrast to Mr. Nobody, and this is coming from a big fan of science fiction so it's not the setting that bothered me....

I can't bring myself to see this even though I like the cast. The original Aurthur is one of my all time faves. Sir John Gielgud won an oscar for a memorable supporting performance and the script is full of classic one-liners. I still laugh out loud whenever I see it.

I get peeved at Hollywood for being lazy and cheap sometimes. Instead of using an original idea/script to feature Russell Brand they have to re-do a classic.
