Yeah, there are some cool ones I have on my queue. I think Naked Lunch by Cronenberg will be next for me. I'm obsessed with anything about or from the Beat generation writers and I've heard awesome things about Cronenberg.

I think there is mor than one movie called Perfume. Do you mean Perfume: Story of a Murderer? The one where the young orphan is abandoned with an uncanny sense of smell and becomes apprentice to Dustin Hoffman's Italian fragrance character?

If so, that is an interesting story. The end scenes are kinda surreal but very as well

there are a lot of movies that don't show up in the top 50 netflix list for a category, but it will pop up on the search. For example i found 'Hunger' via search, rather than through the category search.

btw, i recommend Hunger.

and yes Perfume is a great film too.

Shoot 'Em Up: 8/10

Really liked it, it's hilarious and the action is awesome. The plot was a little weak, though maybe it was just me not paying close enough attention. Overall a great action movie though.

Watch Sin Nombre. Should be streaming. Subtitled, but a great movie.

He probably just read up to the part where you said, "there is mostly garbage it seems," got excited, and watched the first thing he saw.

masterpieces-
aguirre the wrath of god
amadeus
the excorcist
the outlaw josey wales
sense and sensibility
run lola run

very good films-
perfume
the motorcycle diaries
orlando
the people vs larry flint
this is england
gridlock'd
the libertine(questionable)

there was also quite alot of very interesting world cinema, some i havent seen but know are good(such as a couple of herzogs') i left most of these out as you seem to not really be a person who watches subtitled films. of these films i think the ones that you would find most accesible and would get the most enjoyment out of-

perfume
the outlaw josey wales(truely clints finest hour)
gridlock'd
run lola run(subtitled but superfast paced and easy to watch youll enjoy it)
the exorcist
this is england
the people vs larry flint

my suggestion for you is perfume- great film, very underrated.
Will rep soon <3.

Midnight in Paris: 8/10
Surpisingly I really enjoyed Midnight in Paris proabably because it was so different and I loved the concept of him travelling to his favourite time period each night.

Blue Valentine: 8/10
Really good, dark movie. So orgininal showing how a relationship can break down over time without either person doing anything really wrong such as cheating.

I'm contemplating whether to watch Blood Diamond, A Beautiful Mind or Donnie Darko tonight if anyone has any suggestions.

Before I Self Destruct - Pretty decent film. The ending was probably the worst ending in the world. 6/10

I will give this flick an incomplete. While watching it I kept getting the feeling that something was missing from the film. A quick google search confirmed my suspicions. About 40 minutes was cut from this film by censors. The missing scenes make this film a mess, a visually arresting mess, but a mess nonetheless.

"The Prey" (2011)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1726861/

French action/suspense film I watched last night. Quite a good flick with good character development, a gripping plot, and non-stop action.

I'd give it a 7.5/10

Definitely worth watching if you are bored and looking for something new.
