@ukplayer4, I guess a more proper question would have been about what your favorite movie is instead. There are a lot of masterpieces out there and theres really no way to distinguish them from each other. In no way can i say de niro was better in raging bull than pacino in godfather, its simply my opinion. Totally right. I thought tree of life was a masterpiece because, as you said, it was so ambitious and was absolutely driven by malick 100% of the way. Very rarely was there a scene where the camera stood still and the actors played out dialogue. I loved it, it kept me engaged. For others, it got dull and i understand that. And i love that malick ( who is Assyrian btw ) gave such a big name like Penn very little to act or say. Hes doesnt give a shit, he wants to make his movie the way he wants to. The movie just completely changed my mood.

Rise of the planet of the apes
8/10

I never really like the planet of the apes franchise but this movie was pretty solid imo.

N-Secure
Unintentional funny movie especially @ how bad some of the acting is

Drive! Fock me, love the movie. The music was perfect, got the last song stuck in my head. Script and acting was guud. Love that Clay and Walter were in it.

Not many people were in the cinema, but the movie "In Time" was full.... can't be that, sad sad people... what a shame.

Gonna download it nowm and watch it again!

Saddle up and ride!

That movie left quite an impression on me. As you said, music was perfect, last song was totally in my head.

As I was leaving the cinema, and walking up the stairs, a guy was singing the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K7rmxjk5RQ

If someone asks to watch it, I'll watch it again.

when i saw "nightcall" and "under your spell" were being used in it i knew they would go so perfectly in the film. rarely does the use of contemporary music work well in films imo and mostly its just uninspired copping out(especially when an actual decent composser like martinez- solaris- is on board) because they couldnt be bothered to come up with an original score but the tracks used in drive were so perfect.

That's how it was with two of the people I saw it with.

"Why's it so slow?"
"Why aren't they talking?"
"The soundtrack sucks."
"Where's all the action?"

Needless to say I will only watch stoner comedies with them from now on.

Frequency - 8/10

Very enjoyable movie. The beginning was slow, but the movie picked itself up. I believe it's a early 2000 movie but it's really good.

martinez did a good job, but i was drawn into the johnny jewel's stuff (chromatics, desire). thanks to the movie, i think he's going to be huge in the next year or so.

i am a peter jackson fan, and i think she would have done a better job than him with "the lovely bones". i think you said you saw melancholia. between "we need to talk about kevin" and "melancholia", if you had to make a choice between the two to recommend to watch for a newcomer, what would you choose?
