Can't you just rub one out to those chicks and give it a 2/10?

Im in the middle of Love and Other Drugs. So far Im really enjoying it. Def more clever than most rom coms. The backdrop of the mid 90s pharmaceutical industry really works well with the story

Nothing special...George Clooney is a decaying star, he definitely did not lead the movie. Ryan performed well, but the movie wasn't anything special.
who cares, Evan Rachel Wood was looking flawless. I wanted to pull my Johnson out and fap right there in the theater.

how dare you speak that way about haneke. i havent seen it but it cant be that bad if he made it surely. although, it annoys me that he is so condescending to the audience. isnt the film basically just torturing people for 2 hours. supposse to serve as some kind of lecture to people about violent films, as if haneke is asking "why are you still watching this"?
seems like there was alot of american films after that had similar ideas without anything behind them- the strangers is one i did see but there were many more.
anyway its hard for me to imagine one of his films with so little to say as he really is one of the biggest intellectuals in film. but then i guess the possibility remains....

i finished 4321..... the second half was slightly less annoying than the first and its still getting the big 0/10. i cant even begin to start with whats so wrong about this film. not only was it terrible in every way but everything it thought it was doing was so ****ing misguided- like empowering women for example, yet with all the man beating they were doing they still had to be parading around in their underwear and lezing out every 5 minutes to keep the balance right, its like the demented, mysoginistic fantasy of a 13 year old boy with ADD. whats more is that this was actually a pretty expensive film for the UK(5 mill), its clearly shot on 35mm, flooded with light and has that gloss that you know is big production cinema, and they use it on this ****ing garbage!!!!
0/10.

I've only seen it once and not in years, probably right after it was released, but all I thought during it was: torture porn, trying very hard to wow the audience with the fourth wall speech, etc etc

I didn't catch on that he was trying to lecture the audience back then but you are probably right. I don't mind films with messages such as that but did he really have to execute it in such a way? It's almost as if he thinks the audience wouldn't be smart enough to understand the film/message unless he literally stops the film and has the characters explain it to the movie watchers. That's very self serving and incredibly pompous.
