^ awesome movie. probably my favorite sean penn movie and one of my favs ever.
just watched possession
definitely one of the strangest movies i've ever seen. reminded me slightly of an old croenberg film. total mind **** that is heavy on the symbolism. i'd categorize it as an art house psychological horror. i just felt at times it was just trying to be weird...just to be weird. there's a couple scenes in this movie that just made me straight up uncomfortable.
solid acting though. if you like your films straight forward and everything to be answered more or less, this is not the film for you. i never knew where this film was going. the first 20 minutes seemed somewhat standard...then it was just like wtffff
it's a bit of a cult movie so good luck finding it. i've only seen a couple movies that are really even in its realm. if you don't mind stepping outside the box and want to challenge yourself a bit, this might be a movie you wanna check out.
7/10

I was so disappointed, feel like I wasted my money. It just dragged and dragged. Almost all the characters were pieces of shit. Baldwin was the best and he was in it for like 6 minutes... Other than that Penelope Cruz was super f*cking hot.
ted was good. pretty funny, though the lady next to me, had to make comments all the time. Funniest bit for me, was when Ted Danson, was on, and said his line. only me and someone else cracked up in the cinema.
finished taxi driver, very depressing. didnt really enjoy it.

Solid flick even though there's really no reason for it to exist. If you're going to do yet another origin story, at least add something new to it. There was nothing here that wasn't in Raimi's Spiderman just 10 years ago. Should've just done a Spiderman movie without the unnecessary time wasted on the back story everyone already knows. The action sequences were decent, I liked the POV web slinging.
Garfield does a great job as Parker/Spiderman, very believable. Maybe it's just my imagination but he and Emma Stone had too good a chemistry for them not to have been banging in between takes in their trailers. They had the Harrison Ford-Carrie Fisher thing going on. I'd put money on that.

Holy shit, this movie shook me to the bones. The last 30-40 minutes were too intense.
