Maybe id be generous and go 7.5 due to its highlight being a somewhat badass Liam Neeson.
The second one is not the same. The action portions are weak. The acting is just plain bad. The entire story is paper thin and the ending was as bad as it could possibly get. Taken 2 is completely useless in every way. And the only redeeming factor of the first one wasnt there.. Neeson is OLD.. He couldnt even walk throughout the movie, let alone fight. They had to do herky jerky camera cutting to make it seem as if more action was occurring than there actually was. Its readily apparent that Neeson was simply not capable of any physical acting. Plus, he was injured during the shooting of the movie, so that explains even more why he seemed stiff and burdened.
Take 2 is an even worse duplicate of the first one. It really lacked in every possible aspect.
Good to know. I'll pass on it. I'm gonna go watch Men in Black III.
Afraid I dont know complete history of President Lincoln but based on the movie made me feel as if he might have been the greatest president of all time. A man so far ahead of his time. Ending war and slavery would not compromise on either as both were intertwined. Spoke very personally to me and for a movie steeped so far in the past I felt it was speaking to us in the present. Again, the great nation we can strive to be...

Well he's on Mt. Rushmore ... he's one of the top five.
My personal favorite, a modern revolutionary (and last REAL president) was JFK.
He would've been an all-time great before he got snuffed out by the CIA / FBI / Bush - Military Industrial Complex
Lincoln- B+/A-. Movie that believes in America and the nation we can strive to become.
Caught it the other day, Daniel Day Lewis was Daniel Day Lewis, but Tommy Lee Jones brought the ruckus too. That scene between the two in the basement was like a master class.
The Dark Knight Rises was more like a 6.5, just too many pacing issues and silly plot choices. Compared to TDK, it was a huge letdown, but I guess anything following the Joker would be. Props to Tom Hardy though, great actor, he did his best with his eyes and body language.
Enjoyed it a lot and i'm not a baseball fan, but its hard to go wrong with Brad Pitt. It was interesting seeing such a tactic turn out to be effective; there's a science to everything.

MI3 is one that I do recommend for what it is. Its fun and delivers on its premise effectively. I loved the rendition of young K and for the type of story it is, the ending left me content and satisfied.
Lawless was pretty dope. A good movie with amazing acting. That CAST!
7.5/10
Watched it on the same day as you. I rate it quite similar.
The 3 movies I saw in these couple of weeks:
Lawless 7.8
Seven Psychopaths 8
Cloud Atlas 7.8
