It's a total "Wag the Dog" scenario. We get no concrete official information on the raid. It changed week after week, details switched around. We get no official pictures. The body is immediately dumped at sea (convenient) and the only "official" story we get is a Hollywood produced image, which pre programs people into believe it as reality.

Dude is a CIA asset, a code name, a vague boogeyman used as a catalyst to start conflicts. Bin Laden was probably killed years ago. Either because of his knowledge, or health. Hell, he may have even been killed in a mountain collapsing "daisy cutter" bomb in the Afghany mountains in 2001 or 2002. He's a patsy. He's an image. An idea. Not a REAL person.

Look up the name Tim Osman on google. Do your research. Bin Laden's family is American / Saudi money. Subcontracted by American business / CIA, and in cahoots with organizations linking them to the Bush family. One of the shadiest families of all-time, with their global power schemes. The Bin Laden family lived state side. In the late 70's Tim Osman aka Bin Laden was allowed to tour military bases via the CIA. Trained and armed to fight the soviets in Afghanistan. He was a US sponsored and trained asset.

CIA admitted to fake actors essentially playing Bin Laden in "leaked" tapes for the duration of the 2000s. Always conveniently leaked at important or pressing times to fit agendas. And small physical details of Bin Laden changing from video to video, and NEVER aging from videos from the late 90s till the late 2000s. Even though it was FACT he had MAJOR health problems.

We found Sadaam Hussein. A man with considerable wealth, resources and an entire country at his disposal, hiding in a ditch. But it took us 10 years to find Bin Laden? Nah ... I'm not buying. I have a functioning brain.

But other than that 8 out of 10?

What MAJOR health problems did he have and how do you know that for a FACT?

In the late 90's, maybe around '97 or '98 he was reported on being treated in hospitals for a degenerative genetic disease of some kind. I forget the name, a little bit of research will help you find it if you have questions. It was even reported CIA members visited him while in the hospital. Clinton at the time, aware of where he was, at no point pulled the trigger on an attempt on his life.

None of this sounds overly convenient to you, or sketchy?

As for the movie, some stand out performances. It depicted a believable reality. I just found in parts it was kind of slow, and un interesting. But 8/10? That's a very good movie. I readily admit. And like I said, the actors performances were top notch.

Zero Dark Thirty- 8.5/10

Extremely well executed. Kathyrn Bigelow was flat out robbed of an Oscar nom (along with Affleck). None of the other films nominated were as well directed as those two IMO. The film had a run time of 2 1/2 hours, but it didn't lag at any points. The tension and the stakes remained high the whole way through. Also enjoyed the great, naturalistic performances especially from Chastain and Clarke. It was a welcome change from some of the recent flicks I've seen with ridiculous, over-the-top, caricatures in place of real characters.

It was was nice seeing the operation from it's early foundation in torture rooms (allegedly, depending on which version you believe) to trailing the courier and then finally the actual raid, all while following the person/people who were the brains behind the entire thing. The academy should write a formal apology to Ms. Bigelow for this terrible oversight.

I believe he was also on dialysis for kidney failure too.

Haunted House - 5/10

Had some moments, but was just garbage overall and made to appeal to a specific audience.

Most of the reviews on here dont' have spoilers and if they do, I at least get a warning. I'm sure I'm not alone in reading them to decide if I want to see something. A few guys in here have some nice reviews.

Ok, I hear you. Personally, if there is a movie I plan on seeing I never read the long reviews, because the longer the review the more likely they get into details I don't want to know.

Yea I'm the same. I saw that it was just a paragraph so I figured I'd be ok, or at least be able to bail at the end. So much for that.

This movie was like Dick Tracy, without acknowledging how absurd it was. The performances cliche, over the top and cartoony. The score, horrendously cheesy. The dialogue? If you could put it on chips, it'd be nachos. Sean Penn? Over the top and corny.

The look of the film, overly stylized and a cheap imitation of Zach Snyder. Just an atrocious experience.

The movie acts like it's being earnest, yet it's heinously over the top and whimsical.

Did you get your money back?

Uhh I saw Jack Reacher and Iron Sky. Pass on both, not even worth reviews really, just ho hum.

You should have sat through it. In my opinion it gets much better towards the end, when the action picks up.

Still, it was far from what I expected it to be. Like you, I expected a good, gritty, dark gangster movie, and not some cliche hollywood good (rogue) cops vs bad criminals story. I really like Sean Penn as an actor, but there was no excuse for what he did to that character.. Like a bad impression of Scarface. Some horrible bad guy lines like:"once we get this operation going, we will rule the entire west coast", really don't help either. Of course the good cop's gf is pregnant (with a boy nonethelss) and her life is treathened, but he won't give up his job eventhough she wasnt him to etc. etc. It's all there.
The first 15 moments I was just sitting there like: wtf they can't be serious with this sh*t. I really didn't expect the movie to be like this, eventhough the Jay-Z song in the trailer kinda gave it away (I mean.. it's a 70's gangster movie).
Still, I couldn't hate the movie and in the end I was rooting for the good guys, who you know would win from the opening credits (if there were any). The action was nice and there were some funny moments as well.

I give it a 6/10.

The film's strength doesn't lie in its plotline; it's a very, very basic series of events, so going in knowing that won't ruin your enjoyment. I'm certain of that.

And every movie review has a spoiler or two in it. You can't discuss a film, really, without discussing some aspects of what went on in it.

The Last Stand - It is far from perfect, but it was entertaining. That said, I hope the director sticks to Korean films where he can do exactly what he wants to do rather than have to conform to Hollywood demands. Also, it was fun to see Arnold back at it in a starring role. 7/10
