Moonrise Kingdom 6/10. Looks awesome, Edward Norton & Bruce Willis are pretty good in it. Not enough Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman was good in his small role as cousin Ben. Just didn't dig the kid actors who were obviously a large part of the movie as it's about two kids running away from camp/home. Didn't really grab me. Least favorite Wes Anderson film at this point.
Rushmore - 9/10. Great acting, really unique, and really funny. Don't even really know how to describe this one one of my favorites tho.
A solid 8, Miyazaki's last movie as he seems to be retiring (he's past his prime anyway) Excellent visually, sometimes overwhelming even. I found the narrrative weak at times but really enjoyed it overall.
After sitting with Dr. Strangelove for a while I think I'd probably bump it up to a 8.5ish and maybe even higher. I think I was a little quick on the trigger in judging it. I do really enjoy how the movie develops from a genuinely dramatic plot and slowly devolves into a satirical movie about the "red scare." It had a little more subtly in that transition that I didn't appreciate until I thought about it further.
Watched this last night:
I enjoyed it a lot. It's one of those charming/sentimental movies about love and life after college that is basically tailor made for my position in life right now. Acting was pretty good all around and the story arc was satisfying. Really cool soundtrack too because they worked in a lot of classical music. I'd give it something between a 7.5 and 8.

In most post-apocalyptic type flicks, there's one major threat everyone's trying to survive. In this there are two. A new ice age, and zombies. Well, they're more of a zombie remix. They're like the vamps in 30 Days of Night. Some pretty decent action, and acting is okay. Dialog is a bit hamfisted at times, and sometimes the sets aren't entirely convincing. But it's a decent sci-fi/horror flick.
I've always wondered this and excuse me if it's obvious...but on movie posters/DVD covers...why are the names not put above the actual person's picture? Arrrrrggghhh
Best character study in the history !
Well presented the themes of loneliness and madness.
Robert De Niro Best actor of ALL-TIME.
Probably not for everyone because you really need to understand the motivations of the main character to like the movie. Some people just cant relate or understand him.
