3/10

Watched this on an airplane 2 days ago, this type of movie has been done 1,000 times now. Cop chasing bad guys with comedic side-kick HAHA! Hollywood shouldn't be allowed to make these any more, they are done.

I probably laughed 3 times the whole movie...so 3/10

Scarlet Street finally got a TCM Blu-Ray but Woman in the Window DVD's are mostly shit transfers from VHS days.

These types of movies can be done well still, but it is rare and this was not one of them. In recent years, The Other Guys was hilarious and The Heat was decent.

The Fault in Our Stars 9/10

Pretty good movie. Both main actors did a great job in the movie.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Rockwell in The Way, Way Back. I thought Steve Carrell was awesome too as the doucebag step dad. That guy is an underrated actor.

The main character can speak with his hyper-intelligent dog telepathically, which is never explained but I assume it has something to do with radiation, as there are also mutated glowing humans roaming the Earth. Canned goods are a form of currency, there are raiders roaming the land, and women dress/disguise themselves as guys as to not get raped - a lot of the post-apocalyptic hallmarks are present and accounted for. There are even these weird underground bunkers/towns that have their own strange cultures, just like in Fallout.

The movie is almost 40 years old and it shows, mainly in the audio department. Dialog tends to sound like it's being played off an old answering machine recording, which annoyed the shit out of me for the duration.

6/10

I tried watching that a few years ago and gave up. Probably got half way through.

Oblivion 4.5/10 What a shitty movie that rips off a bunch of other sci-fi movies and at least 1 video game. It rips off these movies (Spoilers in white movies it rips off): Blatant rip off of Wall-E and Moon, with the bad guys from Portal and an Independence Day ending.

I thought that movie was set in the 80s all the way up until the end when some chick pulled out a cell phone, lol

There was no way to tell otherwise...there was Pacman arcade, oldschool break dancing, all the cars and people's outfits looked dated. Water parks were huge in the 80s.

If not for one cell phone scene I would be convinced it was set in the 80s

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

9/10 - Where was Emma Watson when I was in high school?

The Conjuring

8/10 - Watched it at 2AM with lights off, kinda worked.

The Bourne Legacy

5/10 - What exactly was the point of this movie? Only had like 10 minutes of action and rest was pointless.

I hadn't thought of that but looking back at the movie I can definitely see it. Even Carrell's car was an old station wagon that would fit with an 80s time period. I've gotta imagine part of that was intentional but I don't know if I could put a finger on why without watching it again.

Since NBA season is finished, I will watch a lot of movies until October.
Last night I saw RoboCop, not great but it's a good way to kill time.
