I always thought it was one of Denzel's worst movies (mainstream at least).

This is exactly why. I liked it myself, not necessarily because it was a great movie, but because it elicited a strong emotional response.

That is often one of the main things that can make a movie enjoyable to watch, even if the premise of the movie is ridiculous.

Schindler's List (1993)

2/10

I just really hate this movie. Almost everything about it. Spielberg's use of suspense in the shower scene, neglecting Schindler's wife, using the girl in the red coat to get us to care about one of the murdered characters, the whole "I could have saved more!" scene (I'm sure he added that scene to assure himself the Oscar).

The film took no balls.

The Wolf of Wall Street

8/10

After watching this, as a fan of both DiCaprio and McConaughey, you gotta think that even though McConaughey was great in DBC, some of his Oscar win had to have counted to True Detective. Shows how good DiCaprio's performance was in this movie. Shame that he hasn't won an Oscar yet but it is what it is.

Anyway, the movie itself was very good. A lot of laughs, a whole lot of sex and even more drugs. Definitely recommend you guys to watch it if you havent. Also, kind of strange, but, I was caught completely off-guard when you could see Jonah Hill's dick flying out of his pants Thought he was too famous for shit like that. Was a hilarious scene though.

I find it even funnier that you would think that it is a real dick. Secondly, do you honestly think he would get himself an erection on the set and then show it in front of all the actors. Thirdly, what if he gets himself an erection for the scene and they have to film it 4 times.

Think first. Ok tnx

I just thought it was really dishonest.

I pretty much hate every Spielberg film besides AI as well

Yeah, they were all a little bland if you ask me.

I quite like Close Encounters now that I think about it...and I actually think AI is one of the greatest films ever made.

I also re-watched Wolf Of Wall Street today and it's a solid 8.5/10

It's so entertaining and considering it's a 3 hour film it flies by. Leo was superb it's a shame that this year was such a strong year for films because I could've seen him getting an Oscar for his performance.

No surrender No retreat ... Jean Claude's debut film but he isn't the "good guy" he's a villain and plays it pretty well IMO. The movie is very cheesy and pathetic at times, but that's expected considering the culture of the time, etc. I didn't realize Bruce Lee was buried in Seattle, but according to the movie he was. Is that for realz?
