I like the trade for the Mavs but I feel like it's 1 year to late for them. I wanted to them to get Chandler last season but it's never to late Just don't know what will happen with Haywood and Chandler.. One will be a role player and that would most likely be Chandler due to his injury problems. Dallas looks they are retooling, They are also rumored to get Al Harrington who is a volume shooter who can score. What about Josh Howard? Any chance he comes back?
they finally got rid of Erick Dampier, they're now my pick to win the championship
I jumped on their bandwagon heavily last season and actually had them coming out of the west last year over the Lakers. I think Haywood and Butler needed some time to mesh with the rest of the team and they will be pretty damn good this season.
Chandler could really benefit from playing with a guy like Jason Kidd. Kidd is going to feed him a few easy buckets per game, and that will make him more valuable. I do not know of his health condition, but he is a nice backup center who focuses on D.

yeah, if his foot issues are fine, he will look very solid finishing lobs from kidd.
That's exactly what I thought this time last year when we traded Mek for him. I don't know if he'll ever be completely healthy.
Another problem with Chandler is he can't handle bounce passes. He's fine with the alley-oop or anything up high but he sucks out loud if the pass is coming off the floor.

And he's so weak for a 7 footer. He also has at least 2 moving screens a game.

Bonnell's now reporting that Dampier is willing to get waived and then signed by the Bobcats for significantly less. If we did that we could keep him as a backup to Nazr and then possibly package Boris and cash for an impact player.

Use Dampier in a trade with Diaw to unload Diaws contract, let Dampier get cut, the resign him.
They could rape the Hornets and do something like: Nazr, Dampier, Diaw, and + a bunch of picks and player rights Augustin for Okafor, Paul, and Posey.
It would have to be 2 separate trades though. Dampier can't be traded with another player.
The Cats roster would be:
PG- CP3/Livingston
SG- Jackson/Henderson/Carrol
SF- Wallace/Posey/Brown
PF- Ty Thomas/Najera
C- Okafor/Damiper/Diop
