prob 10 times i watch the kings a lot because i follow garcia. I am also high on Martin but he is never going to be an all star. I dont care about the numbers when e starts, his game is not that of an all star i dont see it. I think he will be a good player, maybe a good starter if he adds weight.

But to be an all star???, lets remember Carmelo Anthony didnt make the all star team year. Its tough to make the all star team. HE isnt going to ever be there first or second option, he isnt anywhere near as good as Artest or Bibby. HE also has bad lateral movement and which makes him a subpar defender. He is never going to be one of the 3 best shooting guards in any conference and if he is the NBA is really going downhill.

First of all, he is a good starter now. He proved that with that statline i showed.

I don't think he will be an allstar for atleast a 3/4 more years, but look at his improvement in one year. According to the sacbee, he rapes ron artest in practice atleast a couple of times a week. Thats saying something.

Its practice, who cares what Kevin MArtin does in practice. After watching Artest this year in summer league its clear that he has a few different gears, who is to say he cranked up his defense.

So in 4 years your saying KEvin MArtin will be better than Kobe, Ray Allen, and Tracy Mc Grady, and Jason Richardson. Plus any good 2 guard that comes out in those 4 years. Those are some pretty bold assumptions.

Lakers had a great run too but theirs came much later in the season. They ended the regular season on a 11-3 run winning in San Antonio, against the Pistons, Suns etc. They won the last 5 games by 10+ points each and took a 3-1 lead against a championship contender. Too bad their inexperience got to them.

Wow use some common sense. Do u think the spurs suns and detroit all championship contenders really tried or played hard or played their starters a lot? LOL at u thinking this is a good point

first of all, whoever compares themselves to the Kings last season is a total dumbass. incase you forgot, they made a trade mid-season which changed the whole perspective on the Kings and made them a whole lot better. So it's like you're comparing to half a team. lol and it's not even an arguement, if they had Ron Artest for the whole season, they would have won a lot more than the lakers. As for next season, the Kings have more depth, they have more overall talent, and just look at the rosters, not to hard to distinguish who's gonna be better . but I don't wanna argue with laker fans, i just won't go there...

The Suns might have rested Nash. But Detroit was playing with everything they had. Remember, San Antonio still could have snatched the best record in the league from them at that time. Detroit had the East on lockdown but they had to make sure to have the best record in the league so in case they met the Spurs in the Finals they would have homecourt. Plus we won in San Antonio when they were battling Dallas for the best record in the West.

LOL @ Sasha!!! :stupid:

and Kings won't miss much in Bonzi Wells. It was his contract year, he knew it was his last chance so he stepped up his game. besides, K-Mart and Salmons and Francisco Garcia at the 2 more then fill up Bonzi's absence. and what defense? the guy gets burned because he's out of shape.

I know what you're sayin Bigboi but I don't even bothering arguing this type of stuff on here... People here don't watch KMart2 nearly as much as we do since he plays on our favorite team. Maybe All star is stretching it but if you WATCHED KEVIN MARTIN PLAY ALL SEASON you'd know that he can become a really good player. People just don't believe in him because he was a late first round pick.

When Sasha hits clutch jumper after jumper this year. Every1 just remember i called it.

I also dont think its wise to put any faith in Garcia, and salmons. They aren't very good and have limited upside. Also none of your two guards can play defense except salmons(but he sucks at everything else except during summer league)

^^^^^So you believe that in 4 years K-MArt will be better than Kobe, Ray Allen, T-MAc, and Jason Richardson????

Kings will end up with a better record this year, no doubt about it. Lakers will end up with the 8th seed at best.

The Kings will be better as long as Ron Artest does not implode.
