Carter has really impressed me this pre season. I hope he can carry it to the reg season. He looks 100% for sure.

The good thing is that people have questioned if he'll be motivated or not(rightfully so) since the Nets traded their 2 stars but he seems motivated in the preseason.

In comparison to the season that he clearly wasn't trying in Toronto.

Preseason stats- 15.2 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.2 apg, 1.5 spg, 51.8 FG%, 31.3 3P%, 90.3 FT%, 23.5 mpg

2004-2005 with Toronto- 15.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.2 spg, 41.1 FG%, 32.2 3P%, 69.4 FT%

This is clearly a different Vince than he was in 2004. His numbers are superior in the preseason than his 2004-2005 season(before the trade) when you consider minutes. As it is even with him playing 9 less mpg his points are almost the same, his rebounds and steals are higher and of course his shooting % are superior. And that's just the preseason.

His preseason stats in the 38.9 mpg he played last year would be 25.2 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 3.6 apg.

If VC is playing at this level in the preseason I'd imagine he'd play even harder in the regular season. I don't think we have to worry about VC not trying in the regular season. I wouldn't be surprised if this team sneaks into the playoffs especially since Harris showed a ton of potential as well.

That poster dunk he had on the Knicks was throwback Vince. Good to see, and I hope to see plenty more of it in the coming months.

agreed. i've missed that vince. I think we will see plenty more of that now that he's the undisputed leader and captain of the team.

A lot of people forget that VC had a season full of those dunks in 2006-2007 when he averaged 25, 6 and 5 and had numerous game winning or game tying shots. That year he was posterizing everyone, throwing down 360's ect.

Even last year with that bad ankle he had some highlight plays and averaged 21, 6 and 5.

I think this will be a vintage VC season.
