Default might sound silly, but...help with a small league

So, i've only been doing fantasy for a couple of seasons, and sadly have not been the most active in my leagues, but this year my equally fickle fantasy friends are putting money on it to ensure participation, only problem is there is only going to be 6 -8 of us (more likely, 6).

That said, it should be easier to construct a solid team, but with all the available talent, i'm sure there is a different kind of strategy for drafting and succeeding. I tried to get them to invite more, but apparently all they could muster is us 6 and none of my friends are into basketball or novice enough to play with us lol any help would be appreciated!

oh, and it's going to be a H2H with pts, ast, stl, reb, blk, 3ptm, FG%, FT%, TO, and i think they are counting flagrant and technical fouls (not sure how much those will affect it, they are a first for me) Thanks!

Strategy wont change all that much I'd imagine. It probably goes without saying but you'll need to draft for quality and be more careful of reaching for guys, and let them pan out on waivers first. You'll need to be incredibly aware of roster changes once waivers start because there'll be a lot more quality players on there than in bigger leagues. Also guys like Arenas and Manu (if not drafted) could make huge differences for a team once they're back.

Especially if there are only six managers, everybody's automatically in the playoffs. So it really doesn't matter at all what happens during the regular season. Making sure you get players like Arenas, Ginobili and McGrady on the cheap would be huge.

If you really do only have 6 teams, and thus everyone is automatically in the playoffs, then I wouldn't make a pick without consulting the H2H playoff schedule.
