Wow its obvious this op is not a Kobe fan but yet he creates a thread talking about Kobe and once someone say Kobe is better he will just say "your wrong Erving is better". This clown just want to start another Kobe bashing before he can go on living his daily life, pathetic.
At the same time all this Kobe bashing will just make it all so sweet once the win the title this year and it wont matter if Kobe avg 50 points or 5 points per game as long as WE THE LA LAKERS take home the title.

I think the sane people on ISH should think of a new name to call people like Loki, TMacRockets, etc... Or maybe we should have everyone respond the same way to their posts. DUMBASS is my suggestion.

All those skills, and all he could do in the Finals is isolate at the top of the key, dribble around, and attack a set defense head on. Zero off the ball movement, zero flashes to weak spots in the zone, zero post ups, zero attacks from the wing, zero transition game, zero offensive putbacks. Same thing every play for 6 games. But yeah, he's tremendously "skilled." And we're supposed to value this skill over stuff like basketball IQ and decision making, which Kobe clearly doesn't have.

Kobe has a more defined all around game.
If I were to compare Kobe to anybody, it would be Drexler.
Both of which equalled out at the end.
Kobe might be better than Clyde in one category, but Clyde might be better in another.
Clyde was unfortunate enough to play in MJ's reign, so he was always overlooked. But he was a great player that could do everything great.
I hate to sound like an MJ groupie, but that's how large MJ's shadow was. Clyde was as skilled as Kobe but more athletic. He could pass just as well, just not as fancy (passing isn't always about fancy passes), he could post, shoot the mid, had a bunch of offensive moves, was smarter than Kobe etc.etc.
They may not be the exact same, but I think he's the most comparable to Bean.
