Default Brian Grant 15 mil contract!!!

This is the last year of Brian Grant contract it will be gone but not miss. What do you think about it? What are the Laker's going to do after it's wiped clean? What do you think the Laker's should after it's gone? Should we trade Odom for talented young player and a expiring contract if by trade deadline thing are not working out?

The Lakers have stated they do not want to go over the cap. Even with Grant's contract ending, it does not free up cap space under the CBA. Many people don't realize this fact and think the Lakers will sudenly have $15M free and clear to spend on players. Sorry, thats just not the case.

i think lakers are about 22-25 mill over

with grants contract ending it would relieve about 15 million of that.

we will still be in debt because the kwame trade and radmanovic

Next year we should be under the cap, but just barely, although it also depends on what happens to Mihm... whether we trade him and take on another contract, or let his expire and either re-sign him or sign-and-trade him next summer (maybe the latter, then we could go over the cap and still bring in new blood). I think only if we just let him expire and he becomes a free agent do we stay under the cap - it would be stupid to let a big man walk away and get nothing for it, so they'll do something with him.

For example, mihm should get somewhere between 7-10mil after this season, and if Kwame can hold down the starting spot and Bynum & Turiaf are able to fill in behind him after this year, we could sign Mihm to a nice deal (you're allowed to go over the cap if it's resigning one of your own) and then trade him for a really good PG or PF depending on what we'd still need after this season.

with 15 mill + going away though that should change.

We can sign a lot of good role players because we will have some money and then we will also still have the MLE and LLE

And what point are you trying to make here? I just rarely get what you are saying in your posts. Can you please try to be more clear and less verbose? I would really like to understand your basketball points!

I think i get what hes trying to say.

Because most of our Expiring contracts are very small...the very little money we will have should be split between many players and not 1 good player.

we're at a disadvantage.

in a few years if we have enough to sign a max player, thats because we would have had about 7 free agents that left.

So how will we get the extra players back then?

Hey, After Kupcake is done paying $15 million to Useless Grant, Buss should use that money to bring back Jerry West.

SOCALMIKE I Understand His Point.

He Showing in which we Are Losing the Money. With that List he leaves us to know Why we Can't Obtain Good Players. Why we Can't make Good changes.

And for last Why I Don't Understand M.Kutpack Continue as Lakers GM.

You See in This List some Players wining a lot of Money and Not Play Noting.

I believe there are 2 different budgets.

One for signing players, others for signing the staff.

how do yall think we got PJ back here?
