what's better? andrea bargnani or andy?

i hate saying the name andrea bargnani, or bargnani or andrea when talking about him to my friends... and i thought, it'd be easier if we could just call him andy... so that's my proposition... i think everyone should refer to him as Andy.

think of it like a short form... not necessarily a nickname

example:

shaquille o'neal
short form: shaq
nickname: diesel

andrea bargnani
short form: andy
nickname: undecided

I dont like Andy, its too simple. It sounds like its the real name and not a nickname. I wouldnt mind calling him Bargs for now and if he has a good rookie season than " The Magician" it is.
