Default Props from Dirk

Sport1: What did the Americans lack?

Nowitzki: It was bitter that Kobe Bryant got injured. His presence alone would have been enough to win the tournament. That's the level I see him on. To me he is the best player in the world right now. That guy doesn't know fear at all. He doesn't care. He would have won it for the Americans single-handedly

See, that is why I felt Dirk deserved the MVP: It's not about him.

I am a Kobe enthusiast thru and thru, and can't wait for him to win his first one; however, I truly thought Dirk was deserving of the award last year. And this comment only cements how I felt/feel.

I am glad to see that Dirk agrees with me... (see my earlier posts).

We tried to get dirk in the shaq trade i believe but cuban said no about that.

But can you imagine those two on the team?

unstoppable shooting allllll night from those 2.

would been finals contenders.

Would have been another dynasty. You have arguably the best 2 offensive players in the league on the same team? Game over.

After witnessing the Kobe bryant show last december dirk himself knows better that when one individual outscores your whole team after 3 quarters 62-61 than that player has to be one of the best players in the league, especially if their named kobe bryant.

Dirk is not even a top-10 player right now because he does not play
defense. I admit he is a top player on the offensive end, but Dallas
would have won the title easily if Dirk had played defense more than
once per game!!!! Watch the finals, he steps out of Miami's way
and allows layups time after time!!!!

He is NOT MVP material yet!!!!!

I would agree with this statement. Dirk is a very good individual player, but he does not play good D, and he does not really make his other team members better or have the leadership skills to take his team to the next level.

Mcgrady doesnt play Defense but how come he's a top 10 Player?

I'm going to go as far as saying dirk is a top 5 player.

hes that great!!

Well, I would not consider McGrady a top 10 player either.... so I disagree respectfully...

Kobe
Lebron
KG
AI
Artest
Tim Duncan

are all much better players than Dirk!!! I'd take another
half dozen players before DIrk, but I can't stand players who
don't play both ends....

Just to prove a point, I came up with 10 players that I think are better players than T-Mac and/or Dirk.... again, just my opinion, so you can pick at it as you wish... the key is that I could easily come up with a top 10 list with little effort (they are in no particular order):

1. Kobe
2. Lebron
3. Wade
4. Garnett
5. Shaq
6. Nash
7. Artest
8. Duncan
9. Iverson
10. Anthony

You guys must be joking. Since when do guys like Carmelo, Lebron, Nash, Ai play defense? Even Wade is an average defender at best. Here's my list:

Kobe
Duncan
Nowitzki
Lebron
Nash
Garnett
AI
McGrady
Wade
Brand

I know it's just your opinion but how are Artest, Shaq and Melo better than T-Mac and Nowitzki?
