Q's Quote: "So, we are now 0-3, and have the Jazz tonight, Lakers in a couple followed by the Rockets and Mavericks. 0-7 start could be here."
Q's Prediciton: 97-102 loss
Q's Prediction Record: 1-2
Marcus Camby (bruised heel) will be listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Jazz, while Baron Davis is doubtful. Davis (bruised hip) did not travel with the team to Utah and did not practice on Sunday, but did rehab work on the side and is said to be improving daily.
If I were guessing, I'd say both are in the lineup Wednesday versus the Lakers. Camby has a chance of playing Monday, but don't expect much since he's been out for so long.
Clippers up 10-5 with 5:47 left in the first quarter. Clippers starting out well again, key is playing for 48 minutes, which is something they need to do tonight if they want to get the first W of the year. Kaman, again, is hustling well early, just needs to get his legs to play the full 48. Mike Taylor is just so energetic out there, just needs to get some sort of an offensive game going. Juice started out well as well.
The trend continues for the Clippers. We put in a solid 36 minutes, then just, collapse. Conditioning is what we need to work on, along with making free throws and getting to the line. 0-4, not what I was hoping for(2-2 is what I wanted, expected 1-3), but we have to wait and see until this team gets fully in game shape before I make a real comment on them and the season.
Clippers drop game 4 to the Jazz 89-73 after being dominated 24-13 in the fourth and final quarter. Baron Davis and Marcus Camby came back from injuries and played well, we saw Kaman play the way he did last season and Thornton seemed to passive. Ricky Davis just can't seem to do anything right. Let's break down the box score:
Chris Kaman drops 19 points, grabs 10, swats 3 and shoots 9-12 from the field, but Paul Millsap drops 24 and 9 on 8-12 shooting.
Jazz go 25-31 from the free throw line, while the Clippers go 9-20(45%).
Clippers have double the turnovers the Jazz had(9 to 18).
I liked what I saw from the team, until the collapse. The team seemed to mesh pretty well, except for Kaman and Camby. Once that gets down, and we get the conditioning, I expect us to fully get back up there and play like we can, which I truly believe is second tier in the West.
