nope i wouldnt either odom is comin off an emotional summer with the lose of his daughter so i dont think he'll be a 100% by the start of the season. If this trade was to occur which i hope doesnt its a lose lose situation for the MAVs who traded marquis daniels for nothing, I think if they did a trade of this magnitude it would mess up Dallas's whole francise.
What a horrible trade that would be for the Mavs. Lose our sixth man, and lose a Howard for Odom, even with Howard being better and so much cheaper. The Lakers would jump all over that.
Its not possible though, the contracts arent close.
never, Odom was good, puts up mediocre numbers now and is only getting older, stack provides the scoring of the bench we would completely lack if he were gone, and josh is a better all around player who is only going to improve. I say how about this, we trade stack for kobe and odom that makes about as much sense.

only getting older???
odom is 27..josh is 26
josh howard is a better all round player??Odom puts up mediocre numbers???
Odom avgs 15pts,9rpg,5.5ast
josh 15pts,6rpg,2ast
Not to forget that odom would be in the all stars if he was playing in the east..
get ur facts straight and stop talking outta ur ass people.
For being the 2nd option behind Kobe, yes those can be considered mediocre numbers. Josh is the 3rd option behind Dirk and Jet, has Dirk,Damp, and Diop competing for rebounds with him. While Odom has Mihm and Kwame hitting the boards. Put Josh with the Lakers and he matches Odom's numbers except for assists with no problem. And no, Odom wouldn't be an all-star in the east. Looks who's talking out of their ass with that one. Most people don't think it's a good deal. don't get mad when you propose something and noone agrees with it.
stack for kobe and odom ??!!??! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAH! ! !!! !! !! :wtf.
dislodge your head from stackhouse butt please, he isnt even 1:10000 the player kobe is, much less odom and kobe together.
Is someone having trouble with sarcasm? He thought the trade was so rediculous that he proposed one even more rediculous. So don't get your kobe shorts in a knot.
haha obviously someone missed the sarcasm in the stack for odom and bryant comment.
I will admit to being wrong about the age, but i wont admit to being wrong on the other points. I dont think odom is that incredible. You take him out of that point forward position in the triangle offense and his assists plummet. You put him on a team where he's not the number 2 scoring option with kobe on the court (number one with kobe off) and his pts would drop. He's a good player, on a crappy team. Put him on the mavs and he becomes a roll player not someone to run the offense through or a go to guy. Howard got those kind of numbers as a roll player. Put him on a crappy team and see his numbers soar.
and if you want to get technical Odom played 33% more than Josh Howard did per game, so if we adjust Howards numbers for playing time he actually would average 19.2ppg 7.75rpg 2.38apg 1.42spg .55bpg while shooting 47.1% from fg, 42.9% from 3pt, and 73.4% from ft. and these numbers are as a ROLL PLAYER, not a number two option who actually runs the offense. Odom has always played for bad teams, LAC, MIA, and LAL, hence he's always been a top option, what would happen if he were put on a team with a bit more skill? I think this is what would happen...
I'd say Odom and Jamison are similar players in terms of body type and numbers. When Jamison went to the mavs his stats dropped by 8ppg, 1rpg, and 1 apg. With a similar change that would put odom at 7ppg, 8rpg, and 4apg... those look like all star numbers to me...
really i do think Odom is a good player, but I wouldn't trade josh for him straight up.
