I'm surprised nobody bytched about the fact that Duncan is from the Virgin Islands and made an argument about that.
The US is a good collection of individual talent, but it looks like the World team has the talent and the chemistry.
Who cares they can have duncan they had him in the recent olympics. He didnt do anything oh hold on I forgot he helped them win bronze thats right stupid me.

Tim was born on St. Croix, which is one of the US Virgin Islands - an unincorporated territory of the United States. All citizens of the U.S. Virgin Islands are U.S. citizens.

What about the ports, who protects the virgin islands ports, somebody get HawkFan and ask him to post an article in a thread about the safety of ports in St.Croix. For all I know Raja Bell could be one of them!

Heh, I remember when Hakeem played for the USA team
That American team would have very minimal outside shooting.
A starting line of Kobe, Wade, Lebron, Duncan, and Shaq would not have the outside shooting necessary. They could compete and very likely could win, but I'd rather bring a guy like Lebron or Wade off the bench and bring in some shooters.
Does anybody know if the arabs run the port of St.Croix or not. Where is HawksFan when you need him. He knows about all the liberal plots to overthrow the mind. Where is he!!!!!! Budda only knows.
If St.Croix is part of the US, the UAE can use it as a staging ground with the help of liberals to destroy the tropical fish market in the united states. Liberals know that right-wingers love their fish and this is just the latest attack on....bluh.....bluh...bluh...... Bill Clinton.....bluh....bluh....bluh..........
..... Jimmy Cater.....bluh.....bluh.......bluh.......and then Jane Fonda....bluh....bluh............................. .................................................t he end

How can you make an argument for that? The Virgin Islands is US territory, and Duncan has played for SIX different USA teams over the course of his career. You think all of a sudden he's gonna switch to the international side?
if the US has outside shooting and great point guard play, they crush them. remember Dream Team 2? well put together and destroyed them.
that team:
Derrick Coleman of the New Jersey Nets
Joe Dumars of the Detroit Pistons
Tim Hardaway of the Golden State Warriors^
Kevin Johnson of the Phoenix Suns
Larry Johnson of the Charlotte Hornets
Shawn Kemp of the Seattle SuperSonics
Dan Majerle of the Phoenix Suns
Reggie Miller of the Indiana Pacers
Alonzo Mourning of the Charlotte Hornets
Shaquille O'Neal of the Orlando Magic
Mark Price of the Cleveland Cavaliers
Steve Smith of the Miami Heat
Isiah Thomas, just retired from the Detroit Pistons^
Dominique Wilkins of the Los Angeles Clippers, formerly of the Atlanta Hawks
this team was well put together. the problem has been too many guys refusing to play and teams thrown together. even the international teams that beat them agreed they had inferior overall talent but you cant just throw guys out there.
Results at the 1994 World Championships in Toronto
USA 115 Spain 100
USA 132 China 77
USA 105 Brazil 82
USA 130 Australia 74
USA 134 Puerto Rico 83
USA 111 Russia 94
USA 97 Greece 58
USA 137 Russia 91
Dream Team III was not as well put together but still dominant. The Decline Started in 2000 when they had guys like Shareef and Vin Baker on the team lol.
This last team was just whoever would play and of course Marbury ended up being the point. Need I say more? Lebron was absolutely unstoppable but Brown wouldnt play him. Looked like a droid among humans. Duncan suffered because of terrible officiating. He was in foul trouble all the time. They did not move the ball well. If you had put the then Pistons out there they would have shut those guys down. There is also one other problem. Since the NBA loves to look to the Euros and Internationals for their outside shooters these days, they are not available for the US team. but there is a myth at work there. Of the top 20 3 point shooters in terms of shots made only 2 were international and for FG percentage of the top 20 only 3 were international. and of that top 20 for either category not one of those guys was on the last Olympic team. there are some great internationals out there but the US reigns supreme in talent and it's not as close as you think.
