I expect we go 1-6 in that stretch, and please don't ask me where that win will come from after the last two games. Calderon injured, JO likely out for several games and Sam's coaching philosophy that stops at whining about missed defensive assigments.
BC is desperate, or should be. But I would encourage him to not make a trade before finding another coach. Another coach just might develop some plays to free up Kapono, increase Bargnani's effectivesness, hide some of Calderons defensive lapses, use Humphries for the rebounds and toughness that we need.
Yes the teams need's a back up point guard and a capable wing, but a new coach is at the top of my list.
If we beat the bobcats, i'd say we'll have a chance for 3 more wins out of that stretch. If we lose to the bobcats, look for disaster to happen as all the players, except for Bosh and Calderon, will lose their confidence and start to panic.
We could beat Portland. Young, no experience, and nobody on the team who can stop Bosh or JO.
Then again, since we can't play defense against guards, Roy and Rudy could end up having huge games, and that would be a dagger because Rudy would be playing against back ups.
A lot of optomism for a team with a point guard that's playing hurt and can't move laterally, a centre who may not play tonight and even if he does is hobbled, and the same coach who can't manage a game.
But I did read that the coaches were huddled up to a white board with Kapono listening in designing plays to create some open space for him. Funny how Sam did not seem to be around for that.
Tonights game is the easiest of the bunch so I hope we get off on the right foot.

Hmm, I'm thinking 2-5, although I can see Toronto beating a Utah team without D-Will as well as Cleveland. 4-3 would be VERY optimistic.
I am too lazy to do this, but did you factor in any back to back games for the opponents as well as for us? If we play an opponent who just played the previous night and we just had a day of rest, then the probability of winning goes up a bit. The vice versa is also true. Again, I am too lazy, can someone look into this?
Thus far we are 2 - 5. Wins in Charlotte and Atlanta and whoppings in LA, Denver & Utah. Portland have been playing really well and Cleveland, well it’s time to buy another lottery ticket because the odds of winning are long.
I see the Nets and the Pacers as the next two biggest games. 2 mediocre teams that at the beginning of the season most of us thought should be almost automatic wins.
